If you have played Dynasty warrior 4 and/ or DW4 xtreme legend, you should kinda like this sequel too, as here the game offers another challenge to be subdued by your favourite character. In this game, it's harmonizing action playing skills with some extend of strategical decisions you need to make, as the story line will be determined by yourself! In the beginning, you shall choose which character you're wanna play as usual, but here he got a ruler above him and you're gonna help your ruler to conquer china by defeating any other rulers occupying some area in China (and of course their general and subordinates) and you will complete your mission by conquering all China! Of course, your stats will be powered up as your battles victorious; additional feature here is you got your own army worked under you and the number will be increased based on what is your level. To level up, you need to meet certain condition which is varies in each characters. How about the items? You still got it, and of course there is level of tem still available. The difference is here you used it once in the battle and then after the batte it disappers. Why? it is simply worn out as used by you. Well, what to do then? Dont' worry, after certain turns, you will get it back, even you can trade it with your enemy if you like or based on their proposal. The item available will be depending on which territories you have occupied, of course, the more territories you rule, the more item you gonna have. Then, how about other generals? You can 'hire' available generals, either he/ she is free general or captured generals, by certain amount of money (you'll gain money after battle). So, how is this game overall? Pretty interesting, i would say it got good gameplay, and offers different story, and will getting tougher as it approaches the point you're about to conquer all china, the enemy will be very hard to kill or to defeat them. If you still unsure, i'll recommend you at least could rent it first and see whether you like it or not!
