You just keep playing thinking "when does the main story begins?"

My first impression was "this is not exactly what I was expecting..." but different doesn't mean worse. I just wasn't used to it.
After only a few minutes playing I started thinking to myself "I'm starting to like the new look and my character interacts with its own voice with others!? Cool!". But then BUMP! no top down view!? On DA:O I used and abused that view mode, so was kind of frustrating to see something really important missing. But then again, is just a little different so no need to panic...
When you see Flemeth smoking some darkspawns you start thinking that's going to be an awesome story but not really... She appears once again and start talking about Morgan and you get again your hopes up that some major event going to happen but not really... None of the DA:O important characters has any role on this story. It's just "hi! I'm here" and nothing important happens.
If Bioware wanted to create an unrelated story to DA:O fine by me, as long the story were cool and with some twists. From my point of view even I could come up with a better story.
Of course that there are some other problems with the game, such as the constantly copy-paste recycling maps, the lack of characters items and customization and some others problems that I don't want to get into.
All of this would be minor stuff if only the story were better and longer. Played the game on hard with all quests possible done or at least 99.9% of them, took my sweet time exploring and analyzing the world and finished the game in less then 35 hours!? That was disappointing...
But still the game has its moments of fun.
