Dust: An Elysian Tale. My thoughts of the game.

I just completed this game not too long ago, and this game is pretty good, and addictive. When I started playing the game, I couldn't stop playing. The gameplay is so addictive, that you're literally hooked on the game once you get into a rhythm. The gameplay is a mixture of action RPG and beat-em-up. When you fight against many monsters at once, you can rack a lot of combo hits, depending on how strong Dust and Fidget are. If Dust and Fidget have very high attack power, then you can kill a majority of the monsters in 1-4 hits. If Dust and Fidget have low attack power, then have a better chance at easily rack up high combo points. There is a sidequest/achievement you can get if you can do 1000 hit combo. Good luck to doing that. Anyway, the story in this game is really good. I won't spoil anything, but the story is about Dust going on a quest to remember who he is what had happened before he awakened in a forest outside of Aurora Village. The soundtrack is amazing. The music is very relaxing and it sets a great mood. The characters are also great. The characters have personalities that make them lovable, and they a have a great backstory to them. I didn't have a favorite character, I liked all of them. In this game, you level up by collecting gems. To get a gem, you have to earn enough experience points from battle and talking to NPC's. You use to the gem on any of the four stats: HP, Attack, Defense, and Fidget's Attack Power. The first stat you would want to power up first is Defense, since you will take less damage from attacks. I did in the following sequence for each four levels Dust grew: Defense, HP, Fidget's Attack Power and Attack. This game does have a good replayability value, but if you're someone that likes to download a lot of games on your PlayStation 3 or XBox 360, then you're likely to only play this game once. So anyway, this is a great Downloadable title on XBox Live and definetely worth downloading.
