Despite some negative reviews that are not based on reality, this game is good and I would recommend it to anyone.
Main theme of the game:
- Expand your dungeon, place creepy objects in your dungeon to increase prestige level and make visiting heroes like your dungeon.
-When heroes like your dungeon their happiness grows and they generate soul energy.
-When they have gained enough happiness you then jump in with your Dungeon Lord to kill them and receive the soul energy they have acquired so far.
-You then use that energy to redecorate your dungeon and make it even more prestigeous and gain many benefits such as more power and access to more objects.
-You can place treasure chests, several objects, armory, library, to satisfy the varying hero's needs. Some of them are casters and they are satisfied by reading books, others are worriors and like the armory, etc etc.
-The heroes are adventurers in an RPG experience and they do level up when they kill your monsters in the dungeon. They also carry healing potions and each hero has a specific class and has particular needs.
-You may imprison heroes to squeeze out more of their life force.
-The game has RPG elements for your hero such as a Talent Tree, to focus your skills gained during the game.
-You also have stat points like Strength, Inteligence, Agility and Constitution.
-Your Dungeon Lord can cast spells during the game and you may acquire additional scrolls by completing side quests.
-Your Dungeon Lord is really an interactive player i.e. you move him through the dungeon to explore, fight and do whatever you please. He is not just a Lord sitting above all screen doing nothing.
The above things mentioned are just a few of what you really can do in this game. It is really difficult to get boring as it will keep you excited every single minute you play and absorbed to the maximum.
It is a very good game and I recommend it to anyone who likes this type of games. I gave this game a 9. Though I believe gamespot will give it a bit lower score. But this game deserves a 9 for player who like dungeon-like strategy games.
