DDO is so far the best free MMORPG I have ever played. The combat system is much better than other MMORPG games, I would say it's the best. however the world is comparatively small, and that's the only draw-back I have found. If you don't like repetitive stuffs, if you don't like PVP and if you prefer team play more than soloing contents this is the perfect game for you. The recent addition Artificer class is just awesome, however I fear it may decrease the popularity and demand of Rouge class, as pure build Rouges are difficult to solo but pure build Artificers are one of the best solo classes. Recent expansion followed by a patch also removed a lot of bugs in the game thus made the game more exciting. Lastly I want to add it's a free to play game so there is no harm trying it, I did the same and later fall in love with it.
