Dungeon Siege III got its full share of bad reviews already and i know exactly why. Firstly its not a Dungeon Siege game. If you have played Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 you would understand why. The game mechanics has been completely changed from scratch. Absolutely everything is changed, so for those who buy a Dungeon Siege game that expect it to be a Dungeon Siege game gets disapointed right away. Why wouldnt they? The title is misleading in a way. If the game only had another title it you would be better already. No Dungeon Siege fan would hate it right away at least. The other reason why this game got it self a bad score is because the presentation is terrible! You start off like youve been landing into the middle of the game. You see fires, dead bodies and enemies right away. The camera system doesnt make you feel impressed and the combat combined with the camera feels terrible. Right away you see how linear the game is and that the enemies are flying at you like charging berserkers. It feels like a mess of a game right from the start. With a bad presentation like this i bet its hard for anyone to have any interest of keep on playing. But the truth is that the game gets better! Like with anything you get used to the game mechanics and you start to see how much effort they put into the game. For some moments there it felt like i was playing a game like Dragon Age. Because the game has some similarities to Dragon Age later on. And by that i mean it has its moments! The graphics is very impressive with much detail put into it. The level design is at first very linear and dull but later on it actually gets better! For most games the beginning is where the most work is put into and later on they often seem to speed things up and make a fast ending to finish the game but strangely Dungeon Siege 3 has quite the opposite! Everything gets better further on! Level designs gets better, dialogs gets more interesting, the story gets deeper and more polished and the ending is actually great! Dialogs is also great! What you choose to do matters in the game, more so than in Dragon Age! The game has a lots of boss battles and some of them have their own unique way to completion. And with a high variation of enemies that makes you want to play more. It never gets boring once you passed the first hours of dullness. The bad part over all in the game is that it has a very dull character upgrade system and the loot isnt very pleasing. This game is like an iceberg. It doesnt look much at first but if you get deeper you can see how much it has to offer!

Complex blend of Dungeon Siege I and II. Boasts the best aspects of both games into one new offering. Lovely graphics.
