A lazy, yet inoffensive entry in the action RPG genre.

User Rating: 5.5 | Dungeon Hunter: Alliance VITA
What makes a Diablo-style action RPG a Diablo-style action RPG? 1. XP and Loot - Check! 2. Different Character Classes - Check! 3. Enemy Mobs and Bosses - Check! 4. Dungeons - Check!

The above list is exactly what this game feels like; a checklist of the bare minimum for the genre. Granted, none of it is done particularly poorly, but it all feels so soulless and lazy. If you've played virtually any other game in this genre you absolutely know what to expect. Enemies will relentlessly attack you, they die, you gain loot and XP, you eventually level up and get better loot, rinse, repeat. Environments are typical fare, containing dark dungeons and wooded areas, and enemies are your standard goblins and bandits. Character classes are limited to the typical wizard, fighter, and thief, with only one character model (male) for each. Leveling and skill trees are very standard, with nothing that particularly stands out as interesting, but nothing broken. There's nothing here that hasn't been done better elsewhere, but if you're looking for a traditional action RPG for your Vita, you're not going to have a terrible time.
