flashy, simple 4player coop tower defence game that are designed for kids.
By first glance, dungeon defender is a good looking game with hero inventory customization and plenty of depth. It however is not, the core gameplay has been stripped down and simplied for kids 6-14 would enjoy playing. Its still a fun and addicting game, but its is repetitive and boring after 1 or 2 hrs
Pros:
-lots of content for only $10 (heroes equipment, lots of stages)
-great art style
-great level design and difficulty is just right
-some simple rpg elements
-lots of addictive fun if your into exp. and item grinding which will constantly reward players with items (like giving a cookie for any actions done regardless if you like the cookie or not)
Cons:
-no variety of creatures and tactics required
-enemy creatures AI are as basic as it could get and hero combat are just plain dull.
-defences structures design are simple and uninspired. Some heroes defences are pretty much the same as the other heroes class defences (only named, stats and models are different)
-bad UI (for PC)
-heroes skills arent balance and simple (1 type of offensive/defensive spell)
-lots of repetitive grinding for loot or items.
