Duke is back! And this time, in 3rd person! Fun, but doesn't have replay value...

User Rating: 7.1 | Duke Nukem: Time to Kill (Greatest Hits) PS
For starters, Duke is Apogee's most famous game. He first appeared in platform shootouts Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem II in 1991-1993. Duke Nukem 3D, Quake's biggest competitor, was the one that started it all.

Time to Kill is made by n-space. Their vision of Duke is a 3rd person shootout, like Tomb Raider. This works, but putting a Duke on PlayStation has really made the game suffer. Even in 1998, when it came out, it didn't have the best graphics. Nowadays, you would freak out from the dirty textures and lego-like creatures.

The gameplay is also sticky. There's no auto-aim, and with the PS controller, aiming is tough. So you'll likely suffer a lot of damage during gun battles. This game also has puzzles, and a couple of VERY annoying platforming parts and cave levels.

Otherwise, it's plain violent fun. Duke travels through time, killing the best he can. In Wild West, Rome and the Medieval Ages. That's about it really. The levels are large, but there's only 12. Even that should do, because the cave levels will probably take you some time to complete..

Duke is playable, but don't be disappointed: This no DN3D!
