A throwback to when games didn't take themselves to seriously I have played 3.5 rated games, and this ain't one of them!

User Rating: 7 | Duke Nukem Forever PC
Okay maybe this is an editorial more so than a review, but I have been playing games for the last 20+ years since the atari 2600, so I am as qualified to speak on Duke as some of these so called critics.

First of all the score is wrong; of course this isn't supprising since gamespot gave the original Duke an 8.5. Duke Nukem 3d practically fast fowarded the FPS genre a decade from DOOM and inspired every first person shooter to date. The level of interactivity that Duke brought was astounding for the time. Duke was more fun and had more personality than quake; ultimately it showed us what games could be as an entertainment medium. GTAIV and MGS4 get a 10! ? I bought a ps3 exclusively for MGS4, but turned around and sold both the console and the game because they could not hold my interest. But hey, that's my opinion and those game sold milliions. These so called critics can actually affect stock prices based on there reviews because someone thinks that sales have a direct reflection on positive reviews. What gives gamespot the right to underrate a game because it isn't up the standards of today's FPS. Duke is what it is, a throwback to the original. The only complaint that I have is that it doesn't go far enough.

Gamespot needs to get over themselves and their political correctness. If you are old enough to remember the original Duke, when games actually fun; the days before trans-gender game reviewers, then wait untlil the price drops and give duke a chance, it's not as bad as they say.

For those who say the nostalgia isn't enough to carry Duke Forever in today's market let me say in the words of Duke, "Blow it out your Ass!"
