A fun, enjoyable throwback to 90's shooters.
So how does it fare?
Pretty damn well to be honest (although no game can live up to 14 years worth of hype and expectation).
Now don't get me wrong the game will never be able to compete with big blockbuster fps games on the market BUT i don't think it needs to as it clearly is a love letter to the classic games of the 90's and in that respect it achieves it's goal.
However, i feel this game won't appeal to people that are young enough to not have played DN3D and other games of it's time as they all had/have a vastley different style of gameplay that modern shooters have all but forgotten.
Pros: Fun campaign, engrossing multiplayer with good, varied maps, Dukes quips never get old
Cons: Dated graphics, gameplay style won't be for everyone.
