Nintendo has today announced that its popular Advance Wars series of turn-based strategy games is headed to the Nintendo DS. Advance Wars DS will take advantage of a number of the upcoming handheld's unique features, including its touch screen and wireless connectivity.
Advance Wars DS will boast all-new missions and a number of new CO characters, and the new battle system will see players using the bottom touch screen to issue orders to their ground forces while commanding their air forces on the top screen. Multiplayer battles will employ the handheld's wireless connectivity feature, although it's not yet clear how many players will be able to participate in a single battle.
