Madden booms out in-game tunes
Roster of musicians for EA's football game includes Foo Fighters, Godsmack, and Rev Run.
Electronic Arts has revealed the soundtrack for Madden NFL 06, which slams into stores next Monday. The roster includes a mix of popular artists peppered with up-and-coming musicians, and spans rock and hip-hop.
Among the well-known acts are Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters, emo/punkers Fall Out Boy, and rap artist Memphis Bleek. Leading the charge of fresh faces are Brits Nine Black Alps, alterna-rockers Hot Hot Heat, and 50 Cent's new man Spider Loc. In addition, hip-hop producers Da Riffs have remixed music featured in the classic NFL Films highlight movies. The new cuts will be featured in the game and in the game's menus. Madden NFL 06 was developed by EA Tiburon, and will be available on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, DS, Game Boy Advance (August 8), PC (August 17), PSP (September 20), and Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (TBA).
