I don't think that he sounded that bad... he has a nice voice but yeah... he could improve on his tone just a little... could be worse... the game looks creepy but fun.^-^ I would probably like to give it a try.

I have to agree with the previous comments. It's sounds like the guy reading the review just got handed a paper that someone else wrote about a game he knows nothing of and isn't interested of at all. No life.

But with the sound off this video is interesting No news of European release though so I would have to import it. I still have plenty of SMT games to play that have been released in here so maybe this can wait.

I own and LOVE SMT: Devil Survivor (DS). It's almost a portable Persona game. I place it up there with The World Ends With You, Lunar Knights and Chrono Trigger as great DS RPGs.

This reviewer is terrible. I could bearly get through the review without falling asleep. Sounds like he just came off a really bad high.

Does this guy talk like this in real life? He sounds like he's reading off someone's will to the family of the dead person. "...and to my nephew Sam, I leave my stamp collection, although I would like for my rarest stamp, the one of the duck, to go to my niece, Katie." Ugh. I want to like this game, but the reviewer's monotonous voice and complete lack of personality makes it so hard to be interested.

I would dare say that trending is the right word for this game, and I'm not buying it. I love Atlus but I will never give this a 9. This falls roughly 7.

@nate1222 The World Ends With You is a Square Enix game, not Atlus. Nevertheless, it's an awesome game, just like Devil Survivor

nearly all Atlus game are worth you time and $money£ . but all shin megami tensei game rock.. seriously i cant think of a bad one ..the only thing that might make it hard for non megami fans is that the level up system can be a chore . just like the ps2 persona games soon on the PSP you have to spend days in every day life in school & making friends just to level up .. there needs to be more games like this one ..

This reviewer is horrible. Its like he didnt even play the game and is basing the reviewer from info he got from other reviews because he leaves out important info. Hes also using demo footage and you can tell because he is using the highest level demons the ones the take longest to get access too and fighting in the earliest stages.

Loving this game so far. It's a combination of Fire Emblem + Dragon Quest + MegaTen games (Demon Recruiting and Fusing, Amazing cutscenes and artwork). Currently taking a break to finish up Persona 3 (66 hours on it, I should be almost done, right?) but can't wait to jump back in. Definately recommend it from what I've played.

game looks too damn hard for me... I want a load of action and a good story I don't have to solve puzzles and form tactics to get. Call me stupid or shallow, but thats just me.

Man, this is an awesome game,as is the entire series. What the entire series, this game included, does well is to synthesize various existing ideas, particularly ones that are all but useless in other games in the genre (eg: buffs, monster breeding and affinities) and shifts the focus towards the elements that lead to a more fun and engaging experience rather than simply following what Square-Enix does. MegaTen is by far the greatest traditional jRPG series of all time, and Devil Survivor is a truly worthy entry in the franchise, portable or otherwise. It may not be quite as engaging as Nocturne, but from a gameplay standpoint this beats out Persona, DDS and Raidou easily. If you have a DS, you need this game.

@BasicLogic - I'm assuming you're saying that incomparison to the PSP, and, no, DS has more 9.0 games.
