Square-Enix has announced officially at E3 that they will release this game in the Fall of 2009. The exact day and month are still to be determined. Just look it up on their website.www.square-enix.com/na

    The august release is a speculation.

    The truth being, we don't know. Europe set to get it during Q3, and working off of previous releases, it's safe to assume the US release will come sometime before the Europe release.

    the gameshop gave an estimated release date. Bank on Summer's End to early December. And definitely not before Dissidia comes out.

    Gamestop never knows anything, they provide "projected release dates" which is basically just a fancy way of saying they have no idea but they know it's happening eventually and you should go ahead and give them your money now. :P If you don't see a concrete release date from the developers for a game, take whatever gamestop tells you with a grain of salt. They don't know any more about when things are released than the rest of the gaming community.

    The guess of it being august or september may or may not be true. Dissidia has a release of august at the moment, although I beleive it's us release has been delayed to the current date in august. My point is, Dissidia came out in japan mid december last year, thats over 8 months to see a US release for what I would say is an at least equally popular game. To boot, KH1 was released about 6 months later in the us than japan, although chain of memories and KH2 were only 2 and 3 months apart respectively. However also bear in mind the teams working on these games are currently split working on several titles at once so that could also impede localization.

    From what Heartnet_XIII said, no that's the Jap. release. For America from what I've heard it should be around August. But never trust gamestop that's my policy.
