    just thoguht ide throw in my 2 cents. it may sound sad but some of my absolute foundest memories of my childhood are of me playing golden sun for the first time(emulated on the pc since the game itself was nowere in my whole dam country) even now i can remember the countles hours i spent at the venus lighthouse trying to figure out what the hell im supposed to do next. whe this comes out it wont be the reason why i buy a ds but it will go to the second position in my top 5 games i ACTUALLY bought. yes including golden sun ds i will have bought a total of 5 games my whole life. not really a fan of 3d on the ds but these look nice, but one of the main selling points of the first 2 was the flashy moves and cosmic sized explosions when ude unleash ur psyenergy(just hope they make it worthy to bear the name golden sun)

    Everyone is missing the most important part! The music! That part is what made the game hands down.

    The guys that wrote the "preview" have obviously never played the old games. A "Dragon vs. Pegasus" fight? They're summons, doof... Eclipse, likely Nereid, then Ramses and Atlanta. It's nice to see some of the old stuff is still around, but I can't wait to see what's new...

    I was socked after my brother told me that this game is coming back, i still can't believe it, this game is like the best game of all times for GBA, i still have them in my cupboard wow!!!....i hope that this game will have both versions in 1

    does anybody remember the summon Catastorphe and the move called Megedo. i hope they have alot more moves and wicked summons. this will blow all the rest into nothingness.

    they shouldve kept the golden sun series to the gba, as much as i want this game i'm not gonna buy a ds for it.

    ughh....so many mixed reactions all at once...

    I absolutely fell in love with the first two Golden Sun games on the GBA, everything from fiddling around with the Djinni to the psypowers right down to the basic story of it all which in my opinion is one of the best written plots to hit a handheld. maybe its my cynasism, but its my love of the first two games that makes me leary of this one, too many factors can get jacked up in the translation.

    My favorite RPG EVER...just got a sequel!!! I always hoped it was coming! My life is complete with God + Golden Sun. Blasphemes? Maybe, but true nonetheless. This was the first game I ever bought for my GBA, and oh what fun we had.

    Golden Sun was my very first GBA game when it came out. I love them both and I hope Nintendo will have a bundle pack with a DS and the new Golden Sun DS game together. If they do, I'm sure they'll make a lot of money by doing so.

    when will they learn "if its not broke, don't fix it..." with the wait tho, I hope for another masterpiece, but doing a graphic overhaul wasn't needed. was that supposed to be felix or isaac in the video? maybe a new character? anywho just thought i'd throw my 2 cents. Cheers to golden sun and all the other ppl that loved this game. here's to us getting what we have waited for. also meemio that wasn't for you... ~_~

    man i hope they use the same battle system they used in the first two. I don't really like the new one that some Ds rpg's have like chrono trigger (not saying i completely hate it).either way i am so buying this when it comes out.
    also does anyone know if it's being developed by camelot or another company

    But if they've taken this long, it must be pretty good!
    Unless they spend the rest of this year and claim to have all this great stuff only to put out a piece of crap like a certain Lionhead boss did only recently!!!

    Looks pretty sick. I beat the first two GS' and I transferred over that annoying password and whatnot and really loved the series overall. I don't care if it's the same people or a remake (though I really hope it's not), I will buy it nonetheless! I hope the music has a little more depth to it like FFTA2, the music in that game sounded amazing with headphones...

    Well. The graphics are awful and using both screens for summonings is a pretty terrible idea considering that gigantic bit of plastic seperating them.

    According to gamefaqs and a couple other internet sources apparently this game has the children of the main charecters or at least descendents (I'm not sure how long after TLA this game is). Hence them looking like but not exactly those charecters. I'm still pumped for it though. Def getting a pre-order on this game.

    Jumping puzzles, wee! It's really weird how one of this series' selling points is slightly challenging jumping puzzles since when it comes to every other JRPG (excluding every other Nintendo RPG, thankfully), the big feature is a complicated mess which some people refer to as menus or even 7 different meters (I'd rip on Dissdia, but then someone might use a replica Masamune to cut off my hand; hidden criticism).

    I am really excited for a golden sun sequel after all these years. The music for that title is among the best i have ever heard,but honestly i was hoping for it to come out on the wii, since its the only nintendo system i have. It does not matter though i would buy a ds just to play this game

    Hope the music is composed by the same person as before. If the music in this vid wasn't a remix (it sounds very familiar, but I couldn't tell if it's from the original GS or not) then I could say it's the same person!
