Eidos brings Majesco to Europe, Australia

UK publisher set to bring dozens of US firm's Wii and DS games to new audiences; offerings to start with DS Cake Mania, MechAssualt, and more.

Two new continents are set to receive the latest offerings from Majesco Entertainment, as today the company announced that it has signed a deal with Eidos Interactive to have the latter publisher distribute a selection of its games in Europe and Australia.

Under the deal, Eidos will release eight Majesco games in the regions by summer and will continue to handle the publisher's catalog thereafter, with more than 15 additional titles slated for release. According to the publishers, the deal focuses primarily on games for the Nintendo DS and the Wii. Among the specified games are Cake Mania, The New York Times Crosswords, MechAssault: Phantom War, and Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park.

The MechAssault series is brilliant on the Xbox and PC, but DEFINITELY not on the DS.

Cake Mania sounds fascinating from the title alone:

A no-holds-barred-bake-off! Do your delicate choux pastries have what is required for total world domination???

I'm sure it wont be anything like that...But I can live in hope.
