Aussie game charts: April 16-April 22

Diddy Kong Racing makes a comeback after almost a decade away.

Diddy Kong Racing has made a triumphant return down under, with the Nintendo DS version of the N64 classic topping the overall Australian game sales charts for the week of April 16 to April 22.

The movie-based game TMNT is still enjoying a boost to its sales with the local release of the film--the PlayStation 2 version taking out the number two spot in the overall charts, according to data trackers GfK Australia. Last week's overall number one, Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars for the PC, slipped to number three spot, pushing the PS3's Resistance: Fall of Man back to number four.

In other chart news, the Guitar Hero II bundle remains at number one in the Xbox 360 list, with Gears of War climbing back to the number two spot. On the Wii front, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess remains firmly placed at number one.

    The nintendo wii will end up like n64, in last place. As for PC gaming, without computers their would be no console gaming, and 7 million subscribers to an rpg game is impressive. PC originated games like half-life 2, counter strike, Warcraft, Command and Conquer, so PC has a 100% better game list then the wii. You don't see great games like god of war with a combination of greate gameplay/story/graphics. It's a relief from the retarded games like pokemon, diddy kong, or 3D mario.

    Pc gamers are funny they brag all the time put there top selling game list is like all sims and even Desperate Housewives: The Game lol i play pc games but i don't dare compare them to console game that have better selections ever call of duty 4 is on console for now and not the pc. so pc gamers just swallow that your overprice rts and mmo machine is good but stop bragging about graphics so Desperate Housewives: The Game look better

    It looks like Aussie gamers like PC games more then console titles. I guess GoW2 didn't get released in Aussie yet. I'm surprised that Ghost Recon: AW2 isn't in the top 10 since that game is great. _____________________________________________________

    wii has only been out less then a yr , give it a chance zelda is good enough game, for now , i dont see why you guys are mad at a console thats very new to that region, now 360 i can see over a yr

    Well god of war 2 is released the 28th of April (tomorrow) in europe and i guess the Australian have the same release date for it so expect it to own the next chart.

    Come on guys give the Wii and 360 a chance its true they didn't get good releases lately but don't make that the excuse because in the next couple of months real god games are also coming to the PS3

    Wow. Maybe Wii is a gimmick. So many Wii systems sold and no games to show for it in the top ten. Ouch. All hype. Not that the system interests me to begin with since I'm into Adult games.

    Cool, TMNT is still in top 3.
    If only they could have Nolan North voices for Raphael in the game, it'll be perfect.
