AU Shippin' Out September 15-19: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Throw tie-fighters, battle orcs, and take chimps into space, all in this week's game releases down under.

Ever since the leaked footage showing off the Euphoria engine appeared on YouTube, Star Wars fans have been licking their chops for a slice of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed pie. Well, the wait is almost over. Set between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, you take the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice, who is sent around the universe to eliminate the remaining Jedi. Aside from your customisable lightsaber, you have a variety of Force abilities, such as Force lightning and Force lift to dispose of your enemies. The PlayStation Portable, Wii, and PlayStation 2 versions of the SWTFU were developed by Brisbane-based Krome Studios. LucasArts is unleashing the Force this Wednesday on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS2, PSP, Wii, and NDS.

Taking advantage of the massive tabletop fan base, EA Mythic is turning Warhammer into a massively multiplayer online game with Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Based in the endless global conflict that the Warhammer universe is known for, players can choose from the Armies of Order (high elves, empire, and dwarfs) or the Armies of Destruction (greenskins, dark elves, and chaos) and form guilds to complete quests online. A nice bonus for Aussie players is that WAR's one of the few MMOs to feature Australian servers. Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is out on the October 19 and is available in two different packs: a standard edition for A$99.95 ($81.78) and a collectors edition for A$129.95 ($106.32). The CE contains a Games WorkShop Grumlock minifigure, graphic novel, and exclusive in-game quests and items.

The reviews stink of late..Every time some one reviews some thing its a 7.5 wth every game??Played too human true it was short but a fun game..Tried other games that got shoddy reviews also...Im guessing Star wars will be great just from the demo..The story sounds awesome with the unique engine also..
