Shrek demo now on XBL

Sample of smelly ogre's latest game now on Marketplace from Activision; 760MB demo features Shrek, Puss in Boots as playable.

Activision has its hands full this summer with two games based on a pair of movies expected to be huge blockbusters. While much of the attention has been focused on the superhero flick Spider-Man 3 starring Tobey Maguire, Shrek the Third also looks to pack the cineplexes, which can translate into big bucks for Activision.

I wanted Fancy Feast!

In anticipation of the game's release next month, the publisher has posted an Xbox 360 demo for Shrek the Third on Xbox Live Marketplace. Weighing in at 759.59MB, the sample lets gamers play as Shrek and his feline friend Puss in Boots as they take on pirates and bandits.

Shrek the Third is currently scheduled for release on May 15 on the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PC, PlayStation Portable, DS, and Game Boy Advance.

    Yeah, if it's not a true, full-fledged next-gen game, we shouldn't have to pay next-geb price.

    This is a pretty short demo but so far my 10 year old daughter loves it. Now I have to decide if I REALLY want to pay $50 for a kid's game. I think they should charge $20-$30 for ALL kid's games but I guess publisher's don't agree with me.

    I just played the demo, and it is painful to play, and lethal to watch someone else play. There's a river that looks like it's raw sewage flowing into the bay and Shrek does God of War grab finish moves. Need I say more?

    This demo sucks and this game will suck if it ships in it's current state. Don't waste your time. It's nothing like Shrek 2 which was alot of fun for 1-4 players on screen at once.

    dont look to great and im not a massive fan of shrek games but the films are ok, and it dosnt match to what spiderman 3 is gonna be like
