Bottoms up for Rayman Raving Rabbids

Ubisoft claims Wii Balance Board-enabled Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party will be "the first game in the world you can play with your rear end"; DS edition also announced.

Although the game was hinted at in an Ubisoft promotional trailer featuring a Rabbid and the Wii Balance Board, GameSpot UK can confirm that those pesky Rabbids will make a return to the Nintendo Wii with Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party.

The game, as per previous installments, lets players compete in a number of minigames and includes single-player, four-player simultaneous multiplayer, and eight-player turn-based modes. It appears that the Rabbids have taken over a TV station, much to Rayman's frustration, and have hijacked movie, music, sports, fashion, and game shows, and even the ads themselves.

However, this time around, the Rabbids will be enlisting the help of the Wii Balance Board in games such as Beestie Boarding, which involves using one's rear end (on the Balance Board) to steer an upturned wildebeest down a slalom course. According to Ubisoft, this method of controlling a game is a world first.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party will be coming this holiday season to the Nintendo Wii. A Nintendo DS version of the game has also been announced. Ubisoft will be releasing more details on both games at its Ubidays show this week (local time) at the Louvre museum in Paris. For more on the game, read GameSpot's piping-fresh preview.

ubi is one of the few developers left that actually knows what making games is actually about, if you cant see that, you are new to gaming, so no harm no foul, but dont think you know.

It will be as worse as the two others games. Think before buying it dammit. Ubisoft thinks about money first, proof is that they tried to innovate by saying that it will be the first game what you would/could play with your rear-end. Use of humour here to convince us to buy the game?

My opinion is that this game will be surely popular, but nothing different from the other crap. And I won't even buy their game.

Oh, and Gamespot, maybe you should criticize a little bit more than only advertising new games. It would be more interesting than this superficial article that we could even read on Ubi's site.

RRR3? WOO! But...do you need the Balance Board to play all the minigames, or is there some sorta alternate control scheme?
