Crave lights fuse on Napoleon Dynamite game

Publisher to bring quirky comedy's frizzy-headed hero to the PlayStation Portable and DS.

Tater tots, ligers, unicorns, and the painfully awkward misadventures of a social outcast may not be as commonly seen in games as nitro boosts, assault rifles, and fatalities, but Crave Entertainment is doing its part to change that. Today the publisher announced that it will release the first games based on the 2004 cult hit film Napoleon Dynamite.

Very little is known about the project so far, as Crave only said it would feature a wealth of familiar faces, including Napoleon himself, Kip, Uncle Rico, Pedro, and Tina (the llama). The publisher did not give a release window for either game.

Napoleon Dynamite was director Jared Hess' feature film debut, but it is not the first of his efforts to be translated into a game. His follow-up to Napoleon Dynamite, 2006's Nacho Libre spawned a Nintendo DS game that was released last October.

Well this game is obviously gonna suck. Let's just hope it doesn't do as bad as Nacho Libre did for the Nintendo DS. Also it'll add to the list of bad games on the PSP, so the release of this game is probably a mistake.

A game based on any reasonable intellectual property has the possibility to be awesome. This is rarely the case, but there is still hope.

i am one of the rare people who appreciated this movie for what it was, but this makes no sense. they decided not to make a sequel for a reason, so wtf is this?

Ok pplz, prepare for another "WTF"!?! (Work time fun, that is) cuz' all I can imagine is a lot of stupid, senseless, repetitive mini-games, just like what the fu... I mean, work time fun. I expect "Kim Possible" games graphics, so, the game will really suck. Even if it has the graphs of a PS3, it will still suck, even more than, well, u know the one (wtf!!?!?!?) The point is, this game will probably only be good for little children who don't know anything about the potential of the psp. Either them, or bored gamerz who have homebrew-enabled their psps and will download their ISO's (my case). Anyway... point is, if u liked the Nacho Libre game, if u hated it, u'll hate this. And if u liked Napoleon Dynomite, u should die right now a slow and painful death. Eddy out!

The movie was the equivalent of a cinematic turd so therefore the game will be a digital turd. Good luck trying to sell this one Crave.
