E3 06: Lego Star Wars sequel to 360

The more LucasArts tightens its grip, the fewer systems will slip through its fingers; original theatrical editions of original trilogy set for DVD release.

Earlier this year, LucasArts announced that it would be publishing Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy this fall for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PC, PlayStation Portable, DS, and Game Boy Advance. But as the Jedi master Yoda himself might say, "No. There is another."

LucasFilm today announced that Lego Star Wars II would also be released for the Xbox 360 and that all versions of the game would arrive in stores September 12.

The launch of the Lego Star Wars sequel is part of a multipronged Star Wars promotion surrounding the next release of the original Star Wars trilogy of films on DVD. In response to fan demand, the first three films (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) will be released individually on 2-disc DVD sets that include the original theatrical versions of the films "as special bonus material." Each set will also include the digitally restored and remastered versions of the films.

    lego star wars 1 was awesome, Lego star wars 2 will be better

    I loved the first one,it was fun and easy.
    I'm going to rent this one though,just like I did the first one.
    Can't wait.

    ya monkeysaresilly iagree theres really not a lot u can do to make the graphics look great because well then...it wouldnt be lego star wars just star wars... hmm

    I hope that the price for all versions is the same, since the game was not made for the visuals. My little boy is going to be so excited for this game.

    Hooray!!! I think, though, they should throw in the 1st Lego Star Wars game for 360 owners. I mean $60 for just the sequel??? Help us poor people out, Lucasarts!!!

    wait when this game was revealed lucasarts said it didnt want a next-gen version..... guess they changed their minds then.

    Hmm...isn't one of the bonus features the ability to read saves from the first game and import unlocked characters? My prediction: The 360 version will come with a ported/compatible version of the PT LEGO Star Wars.
