A great driving game with a story

This may be the only driving game that has as its main theme astral projection, which is a good thing.. The game consists of about 8 chapters each of which has you completing a few different challenges and then unlocking the story progression mission.. Each challenge is quite fun, challenging and interesting as you will be possessing various drivers around the city and helping them complete a task, like outrunning the law, races, destroying packages, taking down an opposing vehicle, or defending an armored car by destroying attacking vehicles with other poor drivers cars.. Alot of the dialouge in this game is quite funny between the characters, my favorite line has to be from the trucker "Nobody double crosses Bubba Dubbya..) There is a ton of optional side missions you can undertake to increase your willpower, which acts as the games currency to buy upgrades (increased ability bar, thrillcams, and unlocking where collectibles are) buy more vehicles, and unlock challenges.. You can shift at any time from vehicle to vehicle, you can even zoom out to a world view to travel all the way across the map to another car.. The driving is very fun to play in this game and all of the cars handle quite differently, and adds some strategy to selecting a vehicle at certain points to complete challenges.. I had rented this game from Redbox and completed the main game in about a day and a half but there is a ton of extras and achievments to unlock so if your not sure definatley rent it.. Its a very enjoyable game.. The cutscenes in this game are worth note, because of the incredibley detailed facial animations and characters.. This game has some really great cutscenes which look fantastic.. The voice acting and dialouge are all pretty good throughout the game. The games music is mostly good 1970s sounding tracks. I found the story to be quite interesting and took some nice twists, and has a very sci fi feel to it.. You would never expect that from a game called Driver San Fransico.. I did not get a chance to try out the multiplayer but from what Ive played of this game its definatley worth a look..
