wow, glad to see that this board is still alive,its been a while since i talked about this game. well i lost my PS1 copy of driver 2 long time ago but i stiill remember this game very well.

haha, I used to have this game but the disc one got so scratched up I had to do this trick with disc 2 to start the game up. I actually just bought a used copy of the game of ebay so i can get all that nostalgic goodness.

Yeah dude go for it. The copy I bought was a black label release and it was in almost perfect condition too. I think it was only 12 bucks. This game is so awesome. I really hope with Driver 5 they make it where you have a story mode as well as the free roam mode. Get rid of guns and all the GTA crap and make the game like Driver 1 and 2.

I'd also mention that the Driver Madness community has many more fans posting around.
www.forum.drivermadness.net otherwise stick on gamespot and make the driver union more active. 
It's good since I place you can talk about all the drivers and not just one driver title and everythings all in one place.

^Totally man. This game was so awesome. The missions were unique and fun. I wish the next Driver would really go back to it's roots, but they keep trying to make it like GTA with guns and also the open world where you drive to missions. They should have separate story and free roam modes.

I've been playing this weekend, and am stuck on that stupid mission in Havana where the truck is dropping bombs in front of you. As always. That one, and the one in Rio where you have to destroy that car on the lake edge are so frustrating, and no fun whatsoever. Great game, though.

^Some of those Havana missions could make you tear your hair out. Surprisingly I got through that one relatively easily but now I'm stuck on the one where you have to find the intelligence in the last of 4 cars. Man I just barely miss it almost everytime. It's driving me nuts.

I've been playing this weekend, and am stuck on that stupid mission in Havana where the truck is dropping bombs in front of you
^ This is easier than the previous truck mission(hijack the truck) just get on the side of him and tap his side until he is 75% damaged, dodging the bombs carefully
Some of those Havana missions could make you tear your hair out
^ yes havana is totally chaos ^_^
but i hope u remember "chase the gunman" in Vegas
I broke the D pad on my controller attempting this mission, sickest mission i've ever faced in any driver game, i still cant't believe that i did this by myself.

^I'm sorry I don't remember that mission from Vegas. I need to beat the Havana missions soon so I can get to it. In the mean time, can you enlighten me on what the mission was about. Or at least what you had to do so I can get an idea?

Actually, this mission is in Rio(my bad, i thought it was in vegas) and what u have to do is chase this crazy guy, and damage his car enough to stop him. Seems EASY doesn't it.
But it's not, when u play this mission only then u'll understand why this isn't easy. He's so fast(lightning fast) and thr's so much traffic and the path is so chaotic, it all adds up to nothing but frustration.
But when u'll complete it, u'll feel like ur on top of the world ^ ^
Damn i miss this game so much.

I know what mission you are talking about now! And yes when you finally beat it you feel so amazing because you've just spent hours and hours trying to destroy his car. So many times you would almost get him and then you would clip a tree or fall off the cliff and just eff it up right before you beat him.
