Another, surprisingly good movie-based game from Activision.

As far as movie-based games go, Activision seems to make the best of them. With recent great titles such as Quantum of Solace and Kung Fu Panda. Now, here's the game based on Dreamworks hit movie Monsters vs. Aliens. I loved the movie, and the game is good as well. Kids are gonna love it. You play as Susan(Ginormica), B.O.B. and The Missing Link. Yeah, I know, no Dr. Cockroach, unfortunately. Only in co-op. It's easy and fun to play. My favorite sections are easily the ones with Susan, racing through the stages. And I wish thee were more of these. Playing as Missing Link is cool as well. Playing as B.O.B.? Not so much, he doesn't have a lot of moves.

The stars from the movie, Resse Witherspoon, Hugh Laurie, Seth Rogen, Will Arnett and Rainn Wilson are...not featured in this game. Sadly, but that's Activision for you. But the replacement voice actors do a pretty good job. The game looks as good as you could expect from such a title.

The game is very short, you'll finish the game in less than 5 hours. And it's not challenging whatsoever for older gamers. And it does get repetitive before the final chapter ends. You can unlock a whole bunch of stills and concept art from the movie, and the game. Ultimately there's not much reason to come back. But, by all means kids and fans of the movie are gonna have a blast.
