While the game is simple, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is a fun platformer.

In 2010, I received Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter for the Nintendo DS. This was my first Drawn to Life game and I had never played the prequel, so this was new for me. The story starts with someone asking about what they remembered about that day and you are asked to show a scenario about what you remembered about a certain day. Then, a girl named Heather is abducted by Wilfre and he drains the world of its color. Its up to the Hero to stop Wilfre in his tracks and bring back the color.

The Hero can be anything you want it to be, e.g. I could draw Link and make him the Hero of this game. You can also draw up objects that can help you in your quest as well. Every time you take damage, you lose part of your color. Take too much damage and you will die and start again from the previous checkpoint. You have to collect bottles of paint as well, as these are necessary for completing the level. There also weapons that the Hero can use, like guns, swords, ball n chains and their own fists. You can also get upgrades and other stuff by using coins to buy them. There are also different transformations like the Spider, which can be used to get through certain stages of a level. There are also flight sections, which require you to hit a certain amount of enemies to get past.

While this game is on the short side as well as the game being really easy, it is still a creative a fun platformer for the DS and Wii. This game is good for anyone who loves a platformer game as well as anyone who like to be creative.
