Drakengard 2 continues the story of the first game, where if you never played it you wontget to know much of th estory or back story's it has to offer. But that shouldnt spoil your fun at all. There's a lot of notable changes in the game rom the first, one is that the enemies FINALLY have a deathcry when they fall, albeit you can know its just several different voices used over and over, but shouldnt be much of a bother. Unlike the first game, the side characters are now useful in certain situations, and you might even like to use one of them instead of the lead protagonist Nowe instead. of course you cant use them as much until you beat the game and start a new game plus where you can use all 4 given characters in any mission since the 3 other characters you can only use for a brief amount of time. The OSTof the game is done very well with several tracks that are heartpumping or catchy if you can say. Unfortunately you cant go back to certain missions in the game unlike the first one, instead you have to start all over from the beginning with the catch that the difficulty's been ramped up from standard to hard to extreme, respectively. Sidequests in the game arent that much since it is an action rpg, but with the opt to go and collect all the available weapons. and with that said, you dont need to collect all of them to get the endings, instead you have to beat the game at ALL difficulty settings to unlock them, which can be a chore since one playthrough can be at least 20-25 hours, though it can depend on how you play on you second and third playthroughs. with that said, Drakengard 2 should be a worthful addition to anyone RPG or Action RPG fan.
