The most underated and underappreciated game in the gaming history

User Rating: 8.5 | Drakengard 2 PS2
Those that have not played Drakengard 1, not to worry. Drakengard 2 still has a descent story without knowing the story of the first game. But the only this game fails in the eyes of hard marking gamers like gamespot is because of its missing details in the story and the repetitive game play. Drakengard 2 begins 18 years after the first game. It follows a young all Mr. Nice guy warrior named Nowe. Nowe is raised by a dragon and later joins the Knights of the Seal. Soon Nowe discovers the Knights of the Seal are making the lives of others suffer and flees joining the rebels lead by a woman who seems to have a link in the first game named Mannah. As we further get into the game you realize the hero and savior guy in the first game is the kind of bad in Drakengard 2 and boy his entrance is good. Game play is pretty good as slash through hundreds upon hundreds of weak monsters, knights and 10 foot tall reinforced knights. But obviously the part that makes this game unique is the dragon back game play as you go through missile shooting balloons and World War II aircrafts (yes i know they are not suppose to be in the game). But it is sure to satisfy any action gamer because you don't get this kind of unique game play everyday. On ground you can choose from 4 different characters with a variety of weapons many different magic attacks. Something with the dragon who has a couple of different magic attacks and when the evolution occurs you have some amazing attacks for ground forces including a firestorm that is sure to wipe out the whole field. Graphics are mediocre, the cut scenes are very good in terms of graphics but when you are in the game play and small scenes that regularly come throughout the game are not up to the plate. But the voice over and sounds are very well acted which i must mention of course.

Don't always believe the gamespot review because this is the most underrated and underappreciated game I have ever seen. Overall Drakengard 2 is a must to be checked out because of its unique game play and hack and slash, going through a hundred soldiers, using 8 feet long swords ground missions.
