One review I bet no one will ever read...

...since probably nobody will ever do a search for this awful game.

Ryan's review is 100% accurate, and it's too bad this rethinking of one of the best arcade games ever is not.

It's doubtful that anyone that has never played the original arcade unit will ever pick up any Dragon's Lair and perhaps even Space Ace console iteration of those games. The nostalgia alone is what brings people to purchase or rent these games and it's quite sad in how the manufacturers are relentless in their ongoing bastardization of them.

I'm not quite certain why they don't simply morph the laser disc versions of these games to each current console and leave it at that, since that is what the gaming community is looking for. Sure, the DVD versions are quite acceptable, but the controls for those games are entirely in the hands of your DVD machine's manufacturer; the remote is not exactly gaming-caliber, now is it?

If you unfortunately have a copy of this game, as do I, it's doubtful you'll be able to unload it on an auction site since any fees you incur would surpass the dollar or two you might get in the sale.

Horrible, horrible game. Possibly the worst game I've ever played. OK, that's a stretch - I'm veering somewhat off-subject, but that dubious honor easily goes to some Atari-produced Jaguar games like the inept Club Drive, Crescent Galaxy or the free pack-in game Blue Lightning that came with the Jaguar CD-module...Oh, great! I've been treated in the past to forget these unsettling games and now I need therapy AGAIN. At least DL3D on the 'cube has acceptable graphics and decent sound compared to those monstrosities. I do have both Dragon's Lair and Space Ace for the Jaguar CD, and although they've been graphically digitized from the original arcade systems [fairly well, at that] and the controls are a bit squirrely, the voices and sounds are ported over intact and they're MUCH better versions of their respective forefathers.

DL3D is no fun whatsoever.
