Just got this, DLC worth it?

hey i just got dragons dogma. just wondering, is any of the dlc worth it? i don't really care about if its really good stats wise, i just want awesome looking gear and weapons. and i see that there is a bundle of collecting quests or something? i imagine they are all fetch quests? any good rewards?

im gonna try and play as a mage or sorceror or whatever. i usually always start rpg games as a warrior, but ive really been leaning towards mages these days and the mage gameplay in this game looks exceptional. it just looks awesome summoning a huge ass spell and decimating everything in your path.

i really want to make a gandalf type of character, white EVERYTHING and just "you shall not pass" the crap outta everything. please tell me i can do that lol. i saw that there is a nice white cape in one of the DLCs, can you get like cool looking all white and gold robes and stuff in this game? cuz if not i might just get that dlc for the white cape lol.

one thing i hated about skyrim was the lack of variety in armours/robes etc. it all seemed so dark themed and dirty. no holy paladin type of stuff. hell even in dark souls there is nice white/gold types of armor and robes, and the game is called dark souls lol.

I don't have the DLC but there are a couple of cool white capes I know of, links below, white hawk cape is blue on the other side, can't really notice it in the pic though. http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/White_Hawk_Cape http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Lordly_Cloak As for staves, there are regular and arch. Mages use regular and sorcerers use arch staves, both exclusive to their vocations. Just realized I never really looked in to mage equipment, so here's some links. Not all weapons/armor are listed, just fyi. http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Staves http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Archistaves http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Armor - Link is screwed up, just copy/paste

cool thanks for the info. i think ill pass on the dlc gear since its not all that great, plus the normal game has nice white gear, and i saw somewhere that you can wear a freakin crown! epic. i started recently and im at the part where im pretty sure the main quest is to go to grand soren or something. but ive been going back to cassardis and seeing what sidequests i can do. so far its been awesome, i got my ass handed to me by the fighter bandits though. seriously those guys never die! the other ones i can take out without much of a problem, but these guys are like wtf! stronger than the bosses so far, im playing as sorceror and it seems like they are immune to magic damage or something.

man this world is huge, i don't know what to do lol. i want to explore but unlike other games, this game puts a fear in me to actually go out and explore and you can't heal completely without items. hell even in dark souls you can run past most of the enemies or just learn their patterns and heal whenever. this game is tough though man damn. the world looks gorgeous especially when its sunny. so far its been really promising, actually feels like a legit journey. im starting to wonder why skyrim and dark souls get so much praise and not this game. skyrim i guess i can understand, but dark souls is definately over-worshipped, especially when you got games like this out.

do you guys have any suggestions on how to level my sorceror or just any general tips for a noob? i need all the damage output i can get since if they get close to me im screwed.

A good way to do some quick leveling, and raise your vocation ranks is walking the path between gran soren, and cassardis, look for goblins, wolves, bandits and smaller foes for awhile, maybe do some of the smaller quests that don't require you to fight, such as all the cassadis quests(but maybe leave out the escort quests till you've explored gransys a bit). There is a quarry south of gran soren you'll have to clear out for a merchant with ogres inside, this also opens the path for you,and makes access to that side of gransys a bit easier, and quicker, and once thats done he sets up shop, and carries great armor, but he doesn't get the real good stuff till a bit later in the game.If you need a high level pawn to use for 0 rift crystals, you can shoot me a friend request on xbox,my GT is WonderingWookie,I also have a ton of extra upgraded armor, and weapons I can gift you & your pawn.Don't worry about the DLC because if you are on xbox,I can just gift you all the really cool armor, and weapons through your pawn.

Well, you could get only warrior/fighter pawns and just keep a distance. Just some more info, each vocation raises stats differently, so if you ever want to get the most out of strength/magic/stamina/HP/defence etc this will help. http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Stat_Growths

thanks man but unfortunately im on ps3. i guess im just gonna kinda explore on my own and what happens happens lol. thankfully someone on my psn list has a lvl 19 sorceror or mage or something with dlc gear that has been pretty helpful so far. someone else on my psn list is lvl 55 mage too, so i plan on using her if things get too hard. im trying to keep the rest at my level though, i don't wanna take the challenge out of it.
