side-scroll brawler with A-RPG with surprisingly good gameplay and everything that you expect from 80's fantasy RPG.

Dragons crown is a love and hate relationship. Some people love it and adore it, some dont. My concerns are that is rather short for a $60 sidescroll brawler game

The Good:
- well defined 6 types of character role, each with different playstyle and strategy.
- lots of loot, and grinding replayabilty
- deep and solid character skill progression.
- well design boss battles with a total of ~20 type of boss
- smooth animation and solid combat
- 4 player party system with having local, online coop drop-in and out, oddly only once you progress to a certain stage. If you dont like jerks online, you could add AI companions upto 3 max.

The Bad:
- typical medieval RPG storyline with renaissance artstyle and some influence from Japanese anime.
- short playthrough with 9 dungeons with some slight variety inbetween dungeons which usually last 8hrs per character (story and sidequest) if you dont include all those grinding
- linear level design each dungeon run spans about 5-10mins, depending on the difficulty
- lots of grinding and recycled environment, and creatures.
- lack of creature variety and no randomization of dungeons events, making it absolutely a grindfest going throught the same dungeon with the same set of creatures.
- combat can be a bit chaotic when there are tons of enemies around which sometime do obscure your character
- lack of sidequest, and most of them are dull.
- controls are somewhat lacking, most of the buttons are unmapped and it still requires mouse pointer to click on the environment leaving me thinking its a straight port from vita.
