If you're in the market for an awesome RPG and don't care much about graphics, you owe it to yourself to try this game.

User Rating: 8.3 | Dragon Quest VII: Eden no Senshi-tachi PS
The Dragon Warrior (or Dragon Quest as its known in Japan) series has always been an excellent example of quality old-school gaming that cares more about the game itself and not how pretty it looks. This time around is no exception. Dragon Warrior VII is a fusion of less than amazing graphics and sound with stellar gameplay.

Graphics and Sound

The reason I lumped these two features together is that they have the same overall flaws. Enix seemed to settle for just good enough to get by. The graphics and sound could have still had that old-school look and feel and have been awesome, but Enix fell down on the job big-time. The result was a mismatch of great gameplay with mediocre at best graphics and sound that leaves me wondering what might have been.

Value

The overall value of this game really depends on how you look at it. If you dismiss this game because of the poor sound and graphics, it has an over all low value. However, If you are willing to go deeper, you will find plenty of options for building your team, just plain awesome old-school gameplay and will enjoy every minute of the guaranteed long sessions.

Reviewers Tilt

When I first discovered this game and its series, I easily settled in for the long sessions. I have been a gamer for most of my life and enjoy classic gaming a lot more than some of the newer flashier titles that are all style but no substance, no matter how popular they are. I came into this game looking for a classic gameplay experience, and I was not dissappointed.
This game's motto is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It worked for me and anyone else who has put in the time to reveal what the game really has to offer.

For those gamers that have massive amounts of free time and love old-school games, this game is a little slice of gaming heaven. For just about everyone else, this game doesn't work. If you're in the market for an awesome RPG and don't care much about graphics, you owe it to yourself to try this game.
