If more people knew about this game, it could very well go down as one of the best games for a handheld of all time.

User Rating: 9.1 | Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry no Wonderland GBC
The good: Very addicting gameplay, such a wide variety of monsters, many people to fight, high value

The bad: Graphics are mediocre by todays standards

This is one of the most underappreciated games ever. This game has very fun and addicting gameplay, yet name two other people who you know that play it. I can't name one. But this game is so fun and addiciting, you will love it for years.

You start off in you and your sisters room, chasing each other around. As you go to sleep, you wake up and see a monster kidnap your sister. Then you see another monster that is the same except for the colour. This is where your adventure begins.

The monsters are so much different and have so much more variety than Pokemon. There is in fact so much monsters that, though I have played this game since grade 3 (I'm entering Grade 9 in September) that there are still monsters I have not seen or heard of yet.

In the game, you control a team of up to three monsters. There are different ways to get mosters. You can get them in the wild, or you can breed two monsters to get a new one.

Breeding is the main way to get strong monsters. It is pretty much impossible to beat the game without breeding. Breeding is perhaps my favourite part of the game. It is so addicting to choose discover new combos and hatch them.

Your character works on a Quest to win the Starry Night Tournament. Your character will have to raise many different monsters to get to this. If you become attached to some of your monsters to the point that you won't even breeding them (it was so hard to let go of my lvl 45 Servant, which I had for so long) you just can't win.

You may be disappointed with the graphics though. You will notice that they aren't fascinating, but this is an old game, remember that.

I recommend you get this underappreciated game.
