Continuing from the previous topic, I have to question what the Dragonlord was doing during the time the hero was leveling up and such. Obviously, it is hard to say how long it took him to get to the Dragonlord's castle. It never turns night though I guess we could assume that any inn visit is a night. Assuming that you do not use the MP giver to restore your health each time, how many inn visits do you think it would take to finish?
I would estimate that it takes more than a month. Was the Dragonlord just sitting around on his throne waiting for all of that time? Was he perhaps playing Super Mario Bros. or something? If he had simply taken care of the hero before he got all the good equipment then he would still be in control there.

well i was discusing with W_R about that and i think that it was because the dragonlord was over confidant that the hero would never get strong enough to get to him and decided to just stay in his castle and do random stuff most likely.

Surely he knew that slime, dragons, etc give experience and that eventually he would have a hero worth fighting. Assuming you saved the princess (sometimes I refuse to do that), he should also have received word of that and thought "Damn he beat my dragon. Maybe I should fight him now".

I never really thought about it to be honest. If I do, my immediate reaction is "video game logic". However, if you really think about it, the enemies get stronger past the cave with Lora in it, right? Going by the game's canon, the hero just sorta got Loto's equipment, killed one-hundred baddies -- not including the dragon or the Dracolord himself --, destroyed Mercado's golem, rescued Lora, and killed the Dracolord. Perhaps the Dragolord sent his more "elite" monster troops out across the land in hopes they would capture or kill the hero, assuming that you're meant to rescue Lora before doing anything.

Neofrodo, I like watching LPs and that guy looks like he has some nice ones. When I get the chance to (i.e. when I'm done playing through the games I'm dying to play now) I'll give his LPs a watch. =) Something about him reminds me of someone I know... couldn't be the same guy, but it'd be funny if it was.
