Good game
When you pass a world in the past , that world becomes available in the present and you can see its changes. Kiefer leaves you early in the game with the deja tribe. When you get to Dharma you can get the jobs/classes in which the basics are: warrior,fighter,mage,cleric,jester,shepherd,dancer,mariner,bard and thief. You can master a class and the acquire another for having an intermediate class for example: Warrior + Fighter = Dragoon or Cleric + Mage = Sage and etc..... if you master three intermediate classes you can be a hero which is for me the best high class. So jobs are divided in basic,intermediate and high.
In this game you acquire lots of methods of transportation like the boat, sharkeyes boat, magic carpet, sky stone and your spell return. Here ,like in all dragon quest games you have the tiny medal king and the casinos which give you some good prizes like the metal king shield or the platking heart,etc. You have also the immigrant town which is south of fishbel in which you help old sim to build a town. When you are passing, you encounter people which want to leave their town and go to a new one so you say to them to go to old sim's town.
When you revive God, all the people are happy but with time you will discover that this God is the Demon Lord named Orgodemir . Then for the first time in the present you will have monsters. To release the eternal darkness from the present you have to search for the four spirits and then the dark palace becomes available. Like the majority of dragon quests, this has 2 bonus dungeons.
In conclusion, although this game is pretty long, its amazing and worth playing. What enix missed in this game is to improve the graphics but i liked a lot the story.
