If your into old school RPG's, this game is very much worth your time.

If you've never played Dragon Warrior (aka Dragon Quest in Japan) start here. This is the last classic DW game. I know for people who are used to 3d graphics are not going to like the graphics. And I will admit that the graphics are very old, but old school can be great when it comes to RPG's. Trust me, you'll get used to it. Also the sound, it isn't wonderful. But the music is very cute. Once again, very old school. That's just a warning. But believe me, you'll get past the graphics and sound when you get into the wonderful story line. If your used to a Final Fantasy story though, think again. The story is amazing, but not in the same way. It's more cute instead of being fairly dark. Now, for the battle system. There are no massive attacks that show off graphics. You see your enemy, and you plot a strategy to defeat them. That's what the battle system is. It's all strategy. First you put in whatever you want ALL of your party members to do, and then they attack. So it's not really turn based like most of you are thinking and it does take some getting used to. It can be very hard at first (or maybe that's just me). But give yourself time and everything will be fine.
The bosses and monsters can be very hard at times. So if your looking for a good challenge, you'll find it here. As for the story line, I'm not giving anything away. I will say it is very much worth the time. Final thoughts: This game might not be right for some, but if your into old school rpg's then you'll want to pick up this game. But remember, being a Dragon Quest (Warrior) game, it will last a long time.
