My first Dragonquest I have played, and certainly not the last!

Dragonquest IX surprised me alot! I didn't expect it to be as good as everyone had said it was, as at first it just looked like another failed RPG attempt and at that time I didn't know it was one of the most popular series in Japan. But I can see why now!

I also heard this was the first dragonquest to allow you to fully customize your character, I can't believe how much worse this game could be without that aspect! Thats one of the main things in the game in my opinion, and the storyline is also great I got a grip of it pretty quickly.

You start fighting way early on in the game, which is a good thing because it gets you used to what is going to be coming later on in the game.

PROS:

- Graphics are good for DS standards

- Storyline is easy to get to grips with, even for those that haven't played any previous games in the series

- One of my favourite RPG's

- Fully customizable characters

CONS:

- Should have waited for 3DS release to make the game even more awesome!
