I was kind of hesitant on doing this review, but since I am currently playing through Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for the Wii and I am watching the anime, I thought "Meh, what the heck?"
I downloaded the Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden 3 ROM from CoolROM onto my tablet back in 2013, because I wanted to try out a Dragon Ball game to see what it plays like. Turns out the game plays like complete sh*t!!!
There are 10 playable characters in the game, which include Super Saiyan Goku, Android 18, Super Saiyan Trunks and the unlockable Super Saiyan Future Trunks. There are a number of stages to play on, and they all have a ground and mid-air stages The gameplay is like a Street Fighter game: You have a punch button, a Kick button, a Ki attack button and a Ascend/Descend button. The Ascend/Descend button lets you fly in the air or stay on the ground while fighting to make it simulate actual fights in Dragon Ball Z.
This was a good concept, but the game is a load of crap!!! The controls are clunky, the battles are boring as f**k and the overall game is a load of sh*t dumped onto a SNES cartridge/ROM!!! This game is a disgrace to both the Dragon Ball and fighting game franchises, as it has some of the clunkiest and repetitive gameplay in a fighter game. This game is worse than Sonic the Fighters on the Gems Collection!!! If you are a fan of Dragon Ball, get the newer DBZ games!! You don't need to play this sh*t!!!
