It's fun,as long as you don't expect the game to be as high a level as budokai 3.
First the good things then the bad ones,so here we start-
Good Things
1.Battling is fun,regardless of whether you fight the same opponent or not.Why?Here's why-The action is flashy and on the top and it's quick,and if you take one blow,it won't take more than a second for you to recover.This sort of thing keeps the action fast paced.
2.Good visuals-although the background environment visuals are a little blurred,the characters are better animated and the attacks look even better,bringing their look very close to the original ones shown in the anime.
3.Great combat system-giving one blow and another and executing a long chain combo is always satisfying,isn't it?If you like using a variety of combos,small or long,this is the best part for you.If you check the number of combos in the menu,there are dozens.It also increases the overall appeal of each battle.
4.Great background soundtrack-The game manages the soundtrack incredibly well.According to the situation,the soundtrack plays.The soundtrack has such a big influence on the battles that you would never want to play on mute.
5.Good number of characters and transformations-26 or some characters,and many transformations to choose from.
6.Great field play-The addition of field play in the story mode is unique and adventurous.
7.Interesting modes-The other game modes are interesting enough to catch your interest,and play out pretty well.
8.Profile Card and shop are very interesting-As you progress through the story,you will earn Zeni and unlock items in the shop mode.From here you can buy items in exchange for Zeni and use the items in making your profile card.You profile card will be shown to your friend while playing ad-hoc.If you are good enough,you can make some pretty cool profile cards.
Bad things
1.Beating the same opponent again and again is boring-I know I've mentioned it above that battling is fun regardless of whether you fight the same opponent or not,but the game developers have taken it too far.You'll most likely find yourself fighting the same opponent a minimum of 2 times before you get rid of him or her.
2.Easy-The game is easy,the only thing that keeps it from being too easy in the story mode is the field play which pits you against many battles before you actually get past the level.
3.Short-Yes,the game has seven chapters,but you'll most likely finish the story mode in 12 hours or so.
3.Looks like Shin Budokai-although Another Road has added a number of features which make the game better than Shin Budokai,it still has many factors that make it look very similar to another road,making you feel that the game is more of an expansion rather than a new game.
4.No infrastructure mode-There is only ad-hoc mode,and that's as far as it goes.No infrastructure mode and you cannot play with anyone else except the person with a PSP next to you.
I guess that pretty much sums it all up,and my final word shall be that Another Road is a very good game,and has added many interesting features,even though it looks like Shin Budokai,I definitely think you should play this game.
