I was thinking to make a site, and make a article about characters, but your blog is fine too.

Still, can I contribute? I'm probably the most ative member here, and probably I can be called a vet already.

    Tier List

    I just didn't add Ginyu(Goku Absorb) because I couldn't find the portrait.

I created some MSN gifs a while back with each form of each character, so I have Ginyu>Goku. I changed the backdrop colour and tidied up the text a bit. Thanks again!

You guys should do something about guard command/speed/guard cards/battle position and how they relate to damage taken/chance to block and so forth. I am still unsure exactly how they're related. One thing I've found is that the card 'endurance' seems to halve the damage from the opponents beam or damage attacks, while cards like 'Tien' and 'Hercule' (when used in guard mode) seem to reduce damage by a set amount (~15 in my experience).

Also, from my experience, the main use of the guard command is increase your chance to block/evade an attack, but it also seems to reduce the damage you take from special attacks by a small amount (in the ball park of 4 HP or so).

Also, do the guard up cards actually increase your chance to block/evade, or do they just reduce damage by some amount? What about moving around on the battlefield: does it just reduce/increase damage by a certain amount or actually increase your chance of block/evade?

Also, I'm pretty new to this game (just started playing a couple days ago), and I've seen from the topics that the typical strategy is use characters with a high stat in one area and spam attacks; I'm going to post some strategies I've thought up (not sure how good they are yet).

What about using Dabura with high speed characters like Burter as a viable strategy? Just get cards that improve accuracy/speed and stall until you have a Dabura card which you can hopefully win with. Not sure how much speed actually affects accuracy, but perhaps if you had really high speed and an accuracy card you could have a decent shot? On second thought, does speed/accuracy even affect your chance of landing Dabura? I have to test this.

Also, the stall strategy for characters like cell who can regenerate/evade attacks as a limit. Just put all your stats into health and play defensively and use stat cards and heal yourself the whole match, only using your command cards to do damage. Eventually, your opponent will run out of cards and (ideally) won't be able to damage you as fast as you can heal yourself.

One question, my unworthy opponent, what do you think you're doing? Watering your garden? An interesting way of spending your last few minutes.

As far as I know, Endurance reduces 1/4 of the damage (and It negates battle position bonus), Tier,Hercule, Yaji and others Attack Support Cards blocks all damage from Command Attacks, and reduce the attacks by a small amount.

Also, from my experience, the main use of the guard command is increase your chance to block/evade an attack, but it also seems to reduce the damage you take from special attacks by a small amount (in the ball park of 4 HP or so).
Nope, it reduces around 1 or 2 HP. But I could be wrong if it is a percentage by the user's HP.

Movement increases Str/KI by 8, and the movement points only does damage if you get the opponent on the right spot. Like:

The 16 bonus KI (from movement) will only work if you hit him on air
The 16 Bonus STR will only work if you hit him on ground.

About the guard cards, I believe that makes the Guard command more useful.

Also, I'm pretty new to this game (just started playing a couple days ago), and I've seen from the topics that the typical strategy is use characters with a high stat in one area and spam attacks; I'm going to post some strategies I've thought up (not sure how good they are yet).

It is just me or you saw some old topics from me and vegiccolo and claimed as you own? That's pretty jerkish.

Thanks for some of your answers... as for the guard cards, the reason I'm not sure how they work is that I'm pretty sure I've noticed my damage taken being reduced by a small amount after using them, so I'm not sure if that's all they did, or if they also improved the guard command (the translations in this game are pretty vague).

Also, for the strategies I posted, they were stuff I came up with myself; I hadn't even heard of the user you posted about. I'm assuming the strategies are nothing new then? On a side note, what would be the 'best' decks if PvP was allowed? My guess is it would be something like rock-paper-scissors, but I'm not really sure.

Players can see others charging up and unleashing limits a mile off. Better to save your high cost CC moves for your deck so they are a surprise.
