A DBZ fighting game that can get really fun when played with a couple of friends.

To start off, there's hardly any content in the game. There's a story mode, which i will get to later on, a duel mode, and a tournament mode, and that's about it. There's only ten playable characters, and not all of the main characters are playable, only Goku, Gohan, Vegeta from the main characters. And on top of that all the characters have only one form. That means that there's only super sayian Goku when you're playing as Goku, and only Majin Vegeta when playing as Vegeta. I'd say the characters are pretty well balanced, with a few exceptions. For example, Vegeta's and Evil Buu's special moves are the hardest to execute, and Cell and Majin Buu are very slow. While it's cool that Gotenks and Vegito are playable (since they're both fusions) i would have liked to see more playable characters, like Krillin or Trunks.

The story mode is lame, and you'll most likely stop playing as soon as you get to the Majin Buu stage, because that's impossible. This battle takes place in the air, which makes your characters uncontrollable. There's no unlock able stuff so the story mode is useless, unless you like playing through it. There's a few spelling mistakes in the text, and Piccolo says a curse word, which is pretty funny.

The control is good, punching and kicking works very well. The game is loyal to the TV series, most of the moves performed in the show are executable in the game, such as the Kamehameha, the Final Flash and even Gotenks' ghost attack. Although it takes a lot of time getting the hang of the special moves, once you get to know a few you'll be fine. Most moves are useless anyway.

The first thing you notice once you start playing the game, are the graphics. They're good, but it makes you wonder why the developers chose this kind of style. Although the stages don't have an effect on the gameplay, they are locations from the series, like the city, Goku's house, Cell games arena etc.
