So dbz is now becoming a kinect fighter, well that sucks worse than ultimate tenkaichi.

Watch as we demo some of the sweet, sweet Kinect moves in Dragon Ball Z for Kinect from Comic-Con 2012.
Microsoft has to look past the unit sales on Kinect. Yes, everyone bought one... I own one... does anyone use it?
"Better with Kinect"
More like "technically playable with Kinect".
Seriously, just let these Dragon Ball fighters rest already. There was this good Dragon Ball Z Adventure game on the Game Boy. It'd be great if they make an action-adventure game.
looks terrible just like every dbz game since budakai 3. when will they get this series back on track?!
\
Well this looks like more fun than playng this with a regular controller. I believe these guys should stick more to the old tenkaichi style games. I played ultimate tenkaichi and personally to me it wasnt great yet it wasnt too bad either. I think it has more potential if only they added more fight mechanics. Theres always budokai collection tho
Can you just reboot budokai already? Can you reboot legacy of goku for consoles? Can you make something that actually did good? Something that the community has been asking for for years now.
So....the make Ultimate tenkaichi (worst DBZ game!) into ultimate disgrace! tenkaichi? like sayin if u guys think ur last game was bad!! u have'nt seen anything jet!! damn and they came back whit the budokai saga in HD to make us feel better? budokai 3 its what it matters but still ......I WANT TO SEE NEW!!! AND IMPROVE BUDOKAI OR REAL TENKAICHI!! ....damn it! .....and @cfstar ur right they can be making a new adventure game or else other than DB adventure that will be nice if they allready run out of ideas of making fighting games!.
i suddenly remember the star wars kid who got spoofed and went viral. this is probably gonna get someone uploaded in youtube, edited with special effects and ruin some poor kids life again.
I don't understand what's this obssesion with making Anime games fighting games all the time.
imo, Anime(particularly ones with made up worlds, not so much the ones that base themselves on reality) could make for some great Adventure games, RPGs, even. I've always found the lore in them to be pretty cool, and i've always wish they could expand upon them, and theres no better way for that than RPGs imo.
But they keep making all these fighting games that just keep getting worst and worst(generally) and still somehow feel like rehashes!
What's so difficult about taking these risks? Comic books do it, they're not that big outside of America but still sell well, not to mention, shouldn't these games at least try to draw NEW audiences to the source material? And so long as they are good games, i don't think people would mind playing a game about a series they don't like, at least i wouldn't.
Not to mention, all these games feel like they lack a serious audience. They are too simple and shallow to appeal to hardcore fighting fans and they don't bring anything new to the table in terms of story or lore, so they don't have anything to bring the Show's audience(besides the regular "play as characters you love!" thing).
But i guess they just don't want to take it seriously.
So sad.
@cfstar Agreed. From a business perspective the DBZ based games would probably sell around the same regardless of their production value. If they spend more time and money making the game they might just end up with less profits. The game industry in general is trending around money. The industry is losing it's artistic integrity.
ever since that dragonball movie came out everything has sucked from then on I miss the old DBZ when i was playing DBZ Mods on PC were better than this crap they need a another kick ass RPG again
Idea sounded amazing at first, then Namco turned into a terrible game where gameplay doesn't make any sense. Serisously, if this near the final product, it's boring to the point I don't even wanna try it.
Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is the greatest DBZ game of this generation - and probably the only one.
Im not even worried about how this turns out cuz i already know that it is going to suck
Why do they have to constantly spew out new dragon ball z games, they are rarely worth buying and have been feeling really lazy recently (last good one in my opinion being Burst Limit) The franchise is just becoming a joke, if they really want to make a good game they should take some time between releases :/
I want to play this game and yes I love the other DBZ games but I am willing to try something new.
Never have I seen a game marketed so poorly. The idiots in charge of marketing this should get fired, because other than Kinect/Dragonball die-hards, this is going to flop hard.
this is going to be just awful. favorite cartoon of all time but, none of the games do it justice. and this looks like going to be worst of all.
the dbz fighting games went downhill after tenkaichi 3, they should set aside the tenkaichi fighting style in the dbz games and bring back the budokai style... matter fact just come out with a Budokai 4 already!
Can you guys imagine how ROFL it would be to have MLG fighting players play this in tournament? This is the next big ESport! :P
There were RPG style dragonball games for the Gameboy Advance that were pretty sick in my opinion. But i guess it's tradition now that anime games suck. Bummer.
Sigh.. what dreams of chronic can fuel such cruelty .. the sad state of DBZ forever being butched into one form or another. i know they still cling to being a fighting game but maybe they need a seperate line of DBZ games along side the fighting style genre. To keep DBZ's dignity intact. Since saiyans are basic insanely quick, agile, powerful, melee bashers with the ability to fire instense energy beams. The only game formula in exsitance that would complament such abilities would be the Zone Of The Enders series.
Think of it instead of Jehutys inventory of throwing knives EMP bombs etc. You could select moves you learn and equip them like a loadout. E.G. If your a beam nut use attacks like galick gun, specail beam cannon, and the kamehame wave each with a different amount of attack power/ stamina usage or if your a varied type mix it up with destructo disc, dearh ball and hell zone grenade and many other move combinations! also if you wanted to put a RPG element into it customise main and secondary perks like use instant translocation, or the piccalos racial ability of regenerating limbs or fusion etc. This mixed with a tweeked version of Z.O.E plus online co-op and online bosses could make a great DBZ game sadly one can only dream.
@crimsonrose05 I ve been had this idea a long long time ago!! great minds think alike!!! Plus can we get another Z.O.E???
more excited for the budokai 1 and 3 hd remake coming this fall. (i think it has ssj bardock as well)
congratulations Namco Bandai, you've succeeded where the likes of Buu, Cell and Baby have failed, you've destroyed the Dragonball universe.
@Slim_Lyrics at least we are getting DBZ Budokai HD collection this year too
DId he say the beauty of kinect 2? Haha, its gonna take that to make this game even semi playable
I dont give shit about DBZ fighters no more, I wont buy another DBZ game till them make RPG a simlar to the one released on the snes that never made it to the US Dbz legend of the super sayain...
Dragon Ball is a sucky, childish anime and manga, and kinect is a sucky gimmick for children. It fits perfectly!
@nilfheim123 dragonball z may get tired and drawn out but it is a fun to watch show that is still loved by alot of people, dont make blantantly ignorant and biased statments like that. unfortunately i agree on the kinect, i havent seen anything that really holds any water coming out yet for the kinect
A terrible anime played using a horrible peripheral on an awful console equals a crappy game!
Talk about a recipe for disaster. I'm staying away from this game, as should all DBZ fans, and gamers alike!
Wow.... and I thought regular Ultimate Tenkaichi was awful, turns out making the same crappy game kinect exclusive just made what was already a bad game 50x worse... suddenly last years installment doesn't seem so bad.
