Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 is an amazing game, and a fine closure to the original Budokai trilogy.

Budokai 3 is most definitely my favorite Dragon Ball Z game ever. From the awesome presentation to its high fun factor this is a great game. The visual presentation exceeds all my expectations. The game retains the shell shaded graphics from the previous installment, but it nearly perfects the shell shading to the highest degree. The animation has also increased its frames per second with way faster animation then any other DBZ game before.Particle effects look absolutely splendid and are truly a leap forward from the previous installments.

The music is still just as good as the other installments, but the quality seems to be a bit better. The voice acting remains the same, with the same high quality as the music. The game sounds just great.

There really isn't a story mode, but instead, you get bite sized stories for each character. This is pretty good considering how many characters there are.Though the only down side to this would be the absence of fully rendered cut scenes.Instead you get still images of who ever is talking, and a text box next to them. This isn't to bad,but it would have been nice to have cut scenes.

Now to tell you about the best aspect for Budokai 3,the game play.It has improved by a vast majority with a lot of new game play mechanics including the beam struggle,Dragon Rush, and the addition of in game teleporting. All these mechanics are well designed and really add more to the games likeness of its source material.

Final Verdict: If you want the ultimate DBZ gaming experience, you'll most likely receive it from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3.I recommend this to both avid fans of the show, and of the genre.
