This game is great for Dragonball fans, but for pure gamers its dull and often frustrating during boss fights.

First off this is an old school beat em up game. You can attack, jump and use Kamehameha's and thats about it.

If you never followed Dragonball you migth want to check it out first, its very different than DBZ and DBGT. This is where it all started. You play as young Goku and take down the Red Ribbon Army, Emperor Pilaf and eventually Evil King Piccollo.

The gameplay is very simple, and you can use either the Wii remote or Gamecube controller. You can also use the classic Wii controller, which I dont have. This is a brawling sidescroller with platforms. Its fun at first and the levels never seem recycled. There are occassional boss fight which may be very easy in the begininning but as you get closer to the end they become very cheap. The big boss' such as Tao, Grandpa Gohan and Piccollo use cheap moves very often and may have you wanted to wreck something. This is aggrivating enough but the boss fights often take forever. Most times there are two parts, win the first part after 10 minutes and then see a nicely done cutscene, and then fight them again till the finish which will take a while longer. The problem is that Goku's attacks take very little damage and the boss attacks take huge chunks of damage. Piccollo is unholy in the end. Believe me.
There is also Tournament mode which is very dull and makes you wish you were playing DBZ Tenkaichi 3.
All in all a good game, good presentation other than the text you have to read. The biggest moments are done in great cutscenes. Its a good game for Dragonball fans but for people who just want a good game its not for you.
