We dig deep into the vault to find the cheesiest or most romantic moments from our favorite games. Note: This video contains content that some may consider provocative.
Final Fantasy Love rocks and I miss Sophia Tong :/
1:40 god that's just wrong... and that sonic clip was just plain sick...
Nothing Beats Final Fantasy for capturing love in a video game
Squall and Rinoa scene. Definitely.
albaficas knows whats what
I'm pretty sure that last clip counts as beastiality..
i hate that 3:15
Everything before 2:00 made me puke.
what is this?somone with his girlfriend doing...whatever!i hope i can see Lightning with her new BF.
gamespot's a failure at life
Oh my God, I had no idea that Gamespot was into the soft porn business? I thought this was about the music. Not couples having sex!
MGS1,3,4 should be there lol? harry gregson williams with kojima did an amazing work,ff10 macalania woods?ff8?ff9 last moments?Did u EVEN played these games or u just picked some random games and made a vid
ffx:TIDUS-YUNA kiss in the water "LMAO you forgot this scene and put that bayoneta thingy and parappa? wtf?",FF8 spaceship,Kingdom hearts1 last scene when sora close the kingdom heart door behind riku and kairi,MGS3 last moments with the boss,
@Sophia I'm sorry, that was offensive. I'm critical because I have high hopes for sound byte and am often disappointed. The composer interviews are interesting but always seem to cover the same things- musical background, how'd you get in the business, advice. When you make videos with musical examples, you just list them. Your musical recap of 2010 introduced me to the incredible music of Alan Wake, but other than that, I haven't gotten anything out of them. There isn't really a place on the internet that's analyzing video game music, and most video game reviews, not just Gamespot's, throw in, often as an afterthought, 'And oh yeah, the music's great too.' It's time to dig deeper and get more critical. Competent is different from good, and excellence in game music is rarely recognized. I don't just mean how it sounds; how is it used? You have a platform that I can only dream of having, Sophia. Do something meaningful with it.
everything was good and nice especially the FF bits, until the final scenes X_X argghhh my eyes, i cant see the light
Agh why'd you have to scar me for life with that scene from Sonic 2006
The last scene in the video when the girl kissed sonic was just soo wrong, have you seen sonic's GIANT head!?!
Metal Gear solid Portable ops definitely fits this video with its song: Call Into The Night and The best song from Metal gear Solid: The Best Is Yet To Come!
@Sophia that was your finale? Parappa the rapper, featuring the worst rapping since Glee (which is incredible, since Parappa came first), followed by... that? Beastiality, it's called. Or, in other words, ew.
@pathock3 - sorry you didn't enjoy the video and just because you don't like or agree with the selection that the GameSpot staff picked, doesn't mean that I'm incompetent. Oh and btw, I am a musician.
unlike them gamers whimpering about something or another that wasn't in this video I gotta say I liked. Way to go sound byte for this short segiment celebrating V day...
I think the several scenes from FFIX were more romantic than the FFVIII waltz scene. The scene where while swinging from a rope, Zidane catches Garnet in his arms when she falls from a building and at the end when she runs into his arms after he shows up alive in the play.
I really wasn't interested in Ico till this movie. Thanks gamespot.
For me the most romantic moment was in FF8 when the two main characters were in the cockpit of the spaceship and finally showed their love for one the other...in the background you heard the song eyes on me...which took me completely by surprise! brought me to tears ,i looked that song up and got it..and i play it from time to time...
this is literally the worst video ever. I don't want to watch terrible sex scenes. the music they picked isn't even good. it just happens to come from games that incorporate romance at some point. the single worst inclusion was watching that parappa the rapper bit. why did they think we'd want to watch them say 'love kick. love duck.' for two minutesif you're going to make sound byte a real section of the site, at least hire a musician. sophia tong is incompetent. she just picked random music for this. W. T. FFF end of rant
this one fits for this......#1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMNt479E3h8
What about the FFX FMV where Tidus and Yuna kiss in Macalania Forest?
I can't believe you left out the video game with the most amount of love, period. Katamari Damacy. What is more loving than getting together in a big oddly round group hug, then being shot into space to become some sort of planet? The music in that game sets the standard for all love songs.
Where's Metal Gear Solid 3 and the Snake Eater song! That song was so beautiful :' )
I love FF8's Eyes on me by Faye Wong..
I love the FF songs, they are so relaxing :)
I find that offensive and provocative Gamespot. Just kidding, great job, I really enjoy these sound byte blogs.
Where is Mass Effect?!
Oh come on! so many romantic moments on FFX, and they choose that one? That's just wrong.
I like the part where Rinoa sticks her tongue out at the couple she and Squall bump into accidentally.
What was the Sonic game at the end?
Kingdom Hearts is a great love story throughout. And the song, i think its called simple and clean, is amazing. But pipping that to the post IMO is final fantasy X. The Macalania lake sence is fantastic to watch after playing so far. In fact most of square enix's games just have brillant musical scores
What?!? No ME love theme?
the best romantic scenes are found in Golgo 13 for the NES. That game was way ahead of its time.
The Dragon Age segment should have had a male dwarf with Zevran. One of the most beautiful love songs in gaming is probably Eyes on Me
@MrSelf-Destruct Doe's the glitchspot always happen. It's only been happening for about a month for me. Also it wont let me watch videos anymore. It just comes up as done now but never really loads the video.
Definitely FF X! The last scene on the air ship! When she tries to hug him! Oh dang. I learned about romance from that video game (not really everyone, but seriously, jk, jk on that jk, just joking, but maybe...)
The scene in the original Kingdom Hearts where Sora turns the keyblade on himself to free Kairi's heart. I got all choked up the first time I watched it. The end of the game was also quite touching imo. Sora - "Kairi! Remember what you said before? I'm always with you too. I'll come back to you... I promise!" Kairi - "I know you will!" ~ Simple and Clean ~
lol Furry sonic scene.
My Fav. moment was when Raz and Lili Finally kiss in Psychonauts!
Oh, come on GS. How convenient of you to forget the "Suteki da ne" scene.
ok I quit valentines day! :D
My favorite kind of love story was in Final Fantasy XIII. I loved Snow and Serah's love story, though at times it was a bit cheesy. :P
old titles
woow now that i can think about it.. we dont have much love video games..
