I have few doubts on the world but otherwise the mere mention that it is going to be the spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate II makes it a must-buy for me.

This is a 'must buy' for me. Generally speeking all Bioware games deliver, but if this game is really going to be the spritual successor of BG, then...Whow, there really are exciting times ahead...

Feamle archers... Why? Its so obviously token... I hope they have a token black guy too... How about they discuss teenage pregnancy while their at it? And in the end credits it can say "say no to drugs"... Really DARK game bioware...

Nothing about it looks that original, I agree with martianrobot. Don't get me wrong, I love the fantasy universe as much as the next guy, but not every single iteration of it. There's more out there than this in the imagination, and frankly I don't think I'm wrong when I say this game will get lost among the mass of already-unoriginal fantasy titles in existance.

No one gets bored of knights and orcs... especially if you add some amazing plot (like baldurs gate 1&2) this game should be the perfect combination of everything we missed in Neverwinter Nights, and everyting Bioware's previous games have had to offer. They have put their best team on this game... even sacrificed some of the zehir team to get it into production. I expect not to be dissapointed (I.E NWN1 without expansions)

Dragon Age is 'a brand new fantasy world'? Looks just like every other fantasy world that came before it. In fact, looking at this trailer, it's basically the Lord Of The Rings films without the little people... though I'm sure there's probably some dwarves tucked away in some deep dark cave somewhere. I'm certain this will be a great game, very polished and deep as is usual for BioWare, but aren't people just even a tinsy-wincy little bit bored of orcs and knights in shining armour by now, especially in the RPG genre? I'm disappointed that BioWare haven't come up with any original ideas here, following on from their excellent and original previous RPG efforts Mass Effect and Jade Empire. I recently acquired and am currently playing Jade Empire right now... absolutely fantastic RPG storytelling, can't believe I never played this, or even heard of it, before! I've also just bought Star Wars KOTOR for Xbox on ebay... I need more BioWare style RPGs on the Xbox 360, to save me from Oblivion and Morrowind overload/boredom!

I actually thought Baldurs Gate 1 was the best, though 2 was good too. I liked the fact that it was more political than just "good humans vs evil freaks".

I've never played a Bioware game... I know, it's a Capital Sin that I'm trying to overcome with Jade Empire. Hope this game is as good as everyone thinks it will be

Maybe the only hope for another real and good RPG besides Fallout 3. Not sure if this game could be compared to Baldurs Gate II but i sure hope so. It's been way too long

Go bioware glad there coming back to their roots. Still unhappy EA owns them but can't complain if they still rock.

They've been working on this game for years. ...and now it's also coming out on 360. Sweet. ...understandably, seeing EA on that end screen felt a bit awkward, but still.
