Bartojoe has a great point to actually create your own player would have been awesome. All you could have done was chaose an origin and then dsign which ever look you wanted for the player withing that origin. That would have been awesome but the game itself recieves two thumbs up from me!!!!

I have to endure British voice acting again?! I've had enough of it in Risen.

Combat seems a little boring and hard to control with PS3. Witcher was fantastic on PC and can't see this topping it.

bah... any game that doesnt let me control the action directly, like blocking and actually attack directly, makes me sleepy.

It gave me a good first impression of what is to come early next month. I almost can't wait!

I can see how people may not think this is very interesting if they have not played Bioware's previous work. That said, anyone who has played KOTOR or Mass Effect would be getting excited like I am! I see the things I loved about those games in this trailer!

not likely but i would agree that would be pretty cool. They could always go with uping up the bloom and making everything glow so they can hide the subline graphics (like gears of war...)

Hopefully (not likely) they'll release a re-vamped graphics version like with the witcher

Please do notice: Posted Oct 22, 2008 - so I see this as a beta/earlier build. Graphics will probably be a bit better after a year in development. I wouldn't worry too much about stutter/slowdown/FPS from a captured video either. Although it's not exactly the best strategic thing to do, releasing a video like that, it is quite common when capturing video while playing a game at higher resolution. I'm willing to give the game a go at release. BioWare typically haven't disappointed me in the past. (Note: I don't really think the game will feature the "top graphics" when released though, that's not something I expect from BioWare, but I believe it will be a pretty well executed RPG and a enjoyable few (or many with the amount of content it advertises) playthroughs.)

@Bleah 86: I hear you... the trailer looked sick. I'm kinda dissapointed. Even if graphics ain't everything, with the power that current consoles can deliver, developers should really release the best that these consoles can offer.

The fps chugging along like it does definitely concerns me.

I like how the plot-lines seem to inter-mesh. Also, racism is interesting and gives a world a bit more depth to it, a little towards Cynicism, on TvTropes Sliding Scale of Idealism to Cynicism.

@Revan: $100? that's news to me. When I pre-ordered at gamestop I was told $60. Fairly standard.

Moral choices my ass, Good or Bad as any other Bioware game. The graphics look bad, the fps is low and the game constantly stutters, the combat is dull, and they want 100$ for it. PASS

@DarkSlayer619: i was just pointing out that this is most likely a video from the PC version. It's a BioWare game and if you've played Mass Effect, the interface is similar, and you won't be seeing a mouse cursor on the console version.

@bowlingotter: i didn't say it was the pc version i just said we cannot control the analog stick like a mouse...

It's a lot more dynamic than past games, I still get the feeling that the NPC's facial expressions are emotionless. Of course they stick out at times, even so it still seems emotionless at times.

With all the damn pub we get could we at least get some more reviews on PC games?? Gamespot!!

Ive been keeping up on this game for a while now, seems like its going to pass all my expectations. Looks like a mix of Mass Effect and Kotor gameplay, but in an excellent fantasy world, which Im very happy about. Biowares never let me down and I know they wont with dragonage either.

With all these player character choices (good, evil, neutral, psychotic etc.) it would be extremely time consuming and expensive to have a separate voice for each of them. So, I guess BioWare went with the safe (and logical) path of only voicing the NPCs and might give players the choice of generic combat/emotion voices, like in Neverwinter.

Man, I'm worried about how this will translate onto consoles. It's a definite buy though. I need a good gaming computer soon...

I thought this game was to be an MMO.. now i know it's like Mass Effect, i would buy this game..
