Voice actors talk about their roles and performances in BioWare's upcoming fantasy role-playing game.
Curry was excellent already as Gabriel Knight, and he still is!
Tim Curry is an awesome actor, love how the his voice matched really well with the character :D
great voice work. would not expect less from bioware
Nice, Tim Curry AND Kate Mulgrew.
AAHAHAHAH! I love that actor! Every time they use a Pro for voice overs with a well written script, shivers run up my spine and I feel like I'm THERE! ....QUICK! where's my sword! :P lol
Its good to hear Dr. Frank-n-furter's voice in a game that has the makings to be one of my all time favorites.
SOLD!
I would give up everything for just one night with Kate Mulgrew, she is the most amazing woman!!
ha very nice :P Tim curry is amazing
Until I eventually meet me... uh... fate!
haha Tim Curry is awesome
It's wonderful to hear voices that sound like they should be in the fantasy world. Rather that than the inane drawling of some irritating, jobless actor that sounds like they just crawled out of a seedy L.A. nightclub.
EA has a reputation of making good games, but i think this is going to be their golden jewel. the game works like your average mmo, at the beginning you make your character (which i've come to notice that console games usually have more depth) from scratch, choosing their race, origin, class, then customizing their looks. then once you get into the game, you get to choose your skills and talents. this is about all i've heard, accept for the fact that the voice acting (as shown in the vid above) and cinematics are impressively good, as well as the fact that when you get blood stains on you, they stay on you forever, and even show in the cutscenes. well, this is on my top 5 for the year (so far), and i have very high hopes for it. you should too.
BUYING
This game looks like it has potential, a good RPG is what i have not played in a long time. I just hope this game delivers. BTW love the Marilyn Manson at the end of the vid.
Hope the game on the console is as good as it is on the PC. Baldur's Gate is a classic and provided hours of joyful fun and a great gaming experience. I can see DLC coming out and if this game rocks it will be another classic in the genre.
Haha what a champ!
I can't believe a lot of people don't know how the game will play. Have you ever played their Baldur's Gate classic? It's almost the same. This game will rock!
This game is going to be very unlike Oblivion bryanfalcao09, not sure what aspect of Oblivion you don't want it to be like, but this game looks better in all areas.
I really hope this game is not too much like oblivion. It looks cooler just by looking at the trailer but you never know. Voice acting looks amazing. Of course it would be with all the british voice actors.
love how he pouses before saying fate ciuse hes thinking lol
Wow, I love Tim Curry, didnt know he was lending his voice to the game, that's great. Its nice to see Kate Mulgrew again too!
"Until I eventually meet my..... *ummmm*..... fate?" HAHA! Tim Curry is cool... he's gotten old though - obviously, as people do.
kepps gettin better each time I schk it out
Pity there's no multiplayer functionality... having been a hardcore fan of Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate and such games, the multiplayer especially in NWN and the freedom of makin your own persistent world servers created a spawning ground for excellent and engaging role playing between players. Truly too bad. And quite possibly the sole reason for me, not to buy the game. A shame.
its looks pretty damn good. especially since it was developed by BioWare, huge fan.
So is this game like the witcher where you click and it moves on its own or is it an action rpg like oblivion? If this is anything like the witcher where you dont control your own player and need to click for attacks and movement then this game will suck imo. I cant stand not being able to control your own character.....boring.
waiting for it :)
looks like it will be cool, but I am not particularly moved by it enough to buy it.
Ivan please don't be sorry i totally agree with you, iv gone from visting gamespot daily to i don't care because i can't see any of the new vedios, although i will point out release dates seem to have been broken for ever.
PS: sorry to all the other players for the last post, couldn't hold it any longer, BTW DAO: awsome so far, definately gettin' it
Ok, gamespot, you guys need to get yourselfs together, over the past few weeks i've seen games in the wrong release date, (like just cause 2) a LARGE number of Broken video links (like A.O. video review), verry annoyng ads for games on a different console then the one of the page you are in and... even... LOTO ads????? and now is becoming increasingly common this situation: Dragon age origins Hands on, watch video, and you show me voice casting!!!! what the hell dude??? oh, and don't get started on the games reviews, now, i only watch them to see gameplay footage, but otherwise USELESS You guys used to be the best, but nowadays seems that you're all about fashy images and ads, istead of a serious gaming site. Its a shame because you guys have been my favourite site for years and now, you're just another one
Sweet. Bioware hasn't let me down yet. Gotta say though, the Marylin Manson is SO unnecessary. Not only is it total garbage, its a freakin fantasy rpg! Whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired for sure. And yes Marylin manson really sucks. he shouldn't even be considered a musician in my book.
i agree with you gimlifn you cant help but to laugh
i always laugh and think of home alone 2 when I see Tim Curry.
i can never view vids on GS. Have latest flash drivers. Any suggestions? Cheers
Yes Camptramp thank you for taking notice. Love you. :)

I'm definitely going to buy this game. While I would like them to improve their graphics engine, I appreciate that Bioware's games have better entertainment value, more engrossing story, character depth, and action than most mega-budget Hollywood movies. These kinds of games represent the best storytelling & entertainment made these days.
YES I AM THE MEGA DOUCHE HAIL!

birdgang is a mega douche
i hadn't really heard any of tim currys work before (or i just didn't know it was him), but he seems to have the sort of voice that can just turn off your mind and bring you completely into the game world, cant wait to get this game...the list of reasons why its awesome just keeps getting longer
Tim Curry also the voice of GK in GK3.
Tim Curry was also the voice of Gabriel Knight in the first well, Gabriel Knight game; not sure if he did the second or third one as well.
Oh wow. Right on @ Tim Curry. He is quite simply an amazing talent that most people don't acknowledge. He's the hysterical butler from Clue. Darkness from Legend. Pennywise from IT. Transvestite from Rocky Horror. Bumbling mouth-foaming lunatic from The Shadow. He's phenomenal. He's also one of the first "real actors" to do games in the first place. They sold "Frankenstein: Through the eyes of a monster" with his face on the box. There can't really be Tim Curry haters in this world, can there? SILENCE!
@birdgang_1 dude your like retarted.
this game is so intersting and cool, I like the actors they picked and i like the song by Marylin Manson, but not so much him. but i do like Marylin Monroe, she was such a babe.
yea nessy the clown, classic. this game also looks great, which i'm glad.
