It's hot off the scene at GamesCom 09!
yes there is a character creator. I can't see how anyone says anything bad about these graphics. They are fine for a current gen title, specially one that has lots of characters on screen in big battles.
i hope that we can create the main character we use u know like/ changing skin color/hair style/hair color/eyes color/change the face and a lot more... would be pretty awesome don't you guys agree with me... if you do put thumbs up. peace homies
looks SO SWEET!
awesome trailer is just like a movie
Dang! Now this is the rpg game ive been lookin for!
8smokes, uve said it all lol i knew it was gonna be good but holy freakin crap i had no idea
This can be interesting....I will reserve my opinion upon release.
Holy sh*t! F*cking Epic! This is going to be amazing. I can't comprehend this awesomeness.
wish it was November already...
looking forward to see more, fasho
wow.... is it me or does 1:03 look like matt parker from hero's when he does his futur art thing??.... lol... cant wait for the game tho!! sicknessssss
Am i going to get to finish this game, or is just the begining of a trilogy?
game looks deep. but nothing beats oblivion. I want another oblivion.
have to get it
i agree with TjamesA. This is my most wanted game out of all the new games coming out
Halfsquid, have you ever played the BG games? I'm a huge fan of Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion. Morrowind changed a lot about what I thought was possible from RPGs, but Baulder's Gate II is one of the best games ever made in terms of storytelling AND gameplay. It's simply amazing. If this game is anywhere close to BG2, we're in for something really special.
@ halfsquid I am a huge fan of the TES series, but this game will crush Oblivion.
I agree squid, and I am dying to see a new Elder Scrolls series game. Although I hope bethesda doesn't mess up with the Ps3 version like they did with Fallout.
I hope it is as good as it looks, if it is it should keep back the blueshakes while waiting for the new Elder Scrolls. I doubt it will be as good as Oblivion but if it is it will increase pressure on Bethesda to make any future Elder Scrolls games better. It is hard to tell if a game will be good by rendered cut-scenes, sure they look pretty but the gameplay might be disappointing
looks killer, cant wait to try it out.
omg this looks like a blockbuster movie!!
great stuff, i foresee a great franchise, bioware is the sh*t no doubt about that.
ohh... yes this game is gonna be great!
@ Matthias. With the exception of Shattered Steel and that one Sonic abomination, I have played every BioWare game since their launch in 1996. Their track record is pretty solid. Baldur's Gate. KOTOR. Mass Effect. Neverwinter Nights. The chances of this being derivative are high, but what isn't? I mean come on, even Mass Effect (although it is a great game) is derivative! Give it a chance, I doubt it will disappoint. Moreover, if you go into it with low standards, the chances of you being surprised and enjoying it are that much higher.
Undeathinc Why has MM's standards dropped? You weirdo.
Blood ,gore, mutilation SIGN me up this will be EPIC
zaheer2020, The song at the end is Marilyn Manson's "This is The New S**t"... Poor Mr. Manson's standards have slipped greatly...
this looks awesome, BioWare has yet to disappoint me and this game both looks and judging by the Hands-On here at Gamespot it plays great as well. and despite some already pointing it out: @ angeloti83 First of all, Electronic Arts did not make this game, BioWare did, EA is the publisher as they have been on the Sims series (developed by Maxis), Mass Effect (developed by BioWare) and the Battlefield games (developed by EA DICE, formerly swedish developing company DICE). EA have their own developing studios as well, Black Box, among others and they do make some games themselves and yes, a lot of them are sports games. But saying they are mostly known for sports games may be true in a group of 10-years olds but not on a gaming website where people actually know what they are talking about.
This game is looking pretty nice with this kind of cutscenes trailer. Will be better then oblivion atleast. That game was boring really. @ angeloti83 : Noob there r plenty of games under EA ownership other than sports games. Ever heard of Sims series??Mass Effect???Battlefield????NFS series??AND not even CRYSIS????upcoming Dante's inferno?????Apply your brain before making a comment.
Guess I'll just have to be content with Mass Effect 2... this game is too gross and derivative.
Correction ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS THE TITLE OF SOUNDTRACK END OF THIS TRAILLER?
ANYONE WHAT THE TITLE OF THE SOUNDTRACK END OF THIS TRAILLER?
copycat LORD....Boring...but bioware games is very good in RPG
@Angeloti83 Quite possibly the most uneducated comment, ever. Mostly known for sports games? EA controls a huge chunk of the gaming market, and have made games like The Sims, Battlefield, Rock Band, Dead Space, Mass Effect, Crysis and Mirror's Edge just to name a few. EA started out making sports games, and still does, but are no longer known a a simple sports games publisher. @ Jagsman /agree
"looks like they are trying to make it as similar to the lord of the rings as possible." I believe the creators have stated that their inspiration for the world they created in DA:Origins was George R R Martin's "Song of Ice and Fire" series, which pretty much means it'll be about five million times better than anything to do with Lord of the Rings.
It may be a good game by its look, but it`s kinda hard for me to understand this is made by EA( mostly known for making sports games). Anyway everyone has a chance in the gaming world and i`ll be looking forward to it
Bioware has always been able to master the RPG genre. I hope they don't let us down this time. And judging by the map, this world is going to be no smaller than Oblivion.
I have seen multiple people compare this game to Diablo 3 now and its starting too piss me off because the only thing the games have in common at all is a fantasy setting I mean there not even really the same genre of games...
i trust bioware's story telling so this might be a fantastic story and i do love my Fantasy humans fight for survival :)
nice!
looks like they are trying to make it as similar to the lord of the rings as possible. not that thats a bad thing, if they do it will, the game will be excellent.
I am never fond of single player games but I think this one is a must buy. Atleast we get heroes, an epic story and an explorable world.
Good to see BioWare still going strong despite EA's "ownership"...........Though the idea of SW:TOR is still messed up to me........
Holy Cow!!!
ergh, I only just witnessed how awesome the world editor for this game is just to find out right after that there wasn't any multiplayer support... it sucks hardcore to find out something exciting just to have something so depressing to follow right after... I have even less of an idea to whether I want this now or what
"Standard" lol, yeah cause Bioware has EVER turned out a "Standard" tale to ANY of thier games...... Being able to play through a metric ton of origin stories that you can go through in several different ways, each affecting the story and how it plays out, having the game remember your actual choices and actions instead of just putting you under "good" or "evil" is real "Standard" fare. ROFLOL, kids these days....
Mmm, beneath the coat of blood and gore there's just a standard fantasy tale. BioWare, flashy, easy magic and dark-fantasy don't blend.
if this game is as great as it seems to be turning out I'll be anxiously awaiting a sequel =D
november is gonna be f'in great month for games, Modern Warfare 2, Assasins' Creed 2, and Dragon Age!
Boo to the jzeah!!
